Prusa Specific Heater Cartridge 24V 40W (MK3) (PRUSA-HEATER-24V-40W)

This was a direct replacement for my Prusa MK3S+ printer. The original failed through my fault, and so far after 30 hrs of prints this one works flawlessly.

There are less expensive heaters that should also fit. I wanted this one because I felt sure that it was an exact replacement for my current heater. It is an exact fit and I am pleased with it.

This was a good replacement for the heater cartridge on my Prusa I3 MK3S. Since my original one bit the dust due to shorted wires, I’d say this one is maybe even better than the one that shipped with my printer. At least the insulation is a little more robust.One piece of advice I have is to make sure you run PID calibration after you’ve installed it. I forgot to do that and experienced some weird behavior with the temps jumping up on the first print. After a PID tune it’s working every bit as well as the OEM hardware over many prints. My guess is that the reviewers stating how it causes temperature overruns also neglected to do a PID tune. It’s just always a good thing to do after you make any changes to your hotend.

This is compatible with the Prusa MK3S, but the wires are perhaps a bit longer than the original. I have run a few prints since it was installed and have not seen any temperature fluctuations like one other reviewer said they had but if I notice any I'll try to post an updated review. I almost passed on this, but ordering from Prusa was not an option and their markup in addition to shipping turnaround time tends to be a reason to take a chance on something like this.

This item looked just like the one from prusa and fit perfectly. Unfortunately, it didn't work and I had to return it. It would heat up and seemed to work but kept getting thermal anomaly errors on my mk3s+. Calibration worked fine but still kept getting errors.

Simple plug and use replacement for the Prusa mini. Was scared the the wire would be too big but it’s the perfect size! Make sure you have the connector from the broken heater. You will need it, Prusa sells the connector if you need it! It’s NOT included with this heater!!!!

Exactly what I needed for my MK3s. Has the exact right length. Which is great instead of shoving a bunch into the Einsy case

No issues installing it in my prusa i3 mk3s. Seems like a legit replacement.
