Well worth it.
GREAT system. Works very well. Only gripe might be that the pre-amp could be a little better, and has a slight his on a pretty high end system. For my purpose though, this is for in-house event center use, and sounds perfectly fine on that system. The remote receivers are a life saver for my circumstances.

Owned three systems - no problems
I bought an AT System 10 as first wireless mic as an emergency for a gig in one hour. I went in to my local store said I needed wireless, he said this one. A single system. What was I to know?I ran with this for a year then bought another single system when I found I needed two wireless mics.AT then came out with the rack mount dual, and having now two years of no problems, ordered a rack mount through my dealer. I've run loud tribute bands with this, two singers, cheek-to-cheek duets, with no audible artifacts, and have had them dropped more than once. Still in tact. I sold off one single to a non-technical group who use it without issues every month. (with three 2.4 ghz/ 5ghz access points in the same room)This year, another band wanted to go wireless and bought a Sennheiser UHF rig with 6 mics and two sets of stereo IEM. Frequency allotment was troublesome, with a steep learning curve, and could be problematic moving from gig to gig. The System 10 is nearly brainless to operate. Pick a number between 1 and 10, pair with the receiver, and you're up and running. BTW, the Sennheiser and Shure mics are also use significant plastic in their construction.I downrated the AT System 10 one star because the mic capsules are not interchangeable - they are completely fixed. I found capsule interchangeable more hype than help. Sennheiser capsules are interchangeable with other Sennheiser capsules only. Shure and Line 6 are interchangeable between those two only. So capsule interchangeability really does not amount to a hill of beans. The other reason I downrated the System 10 is that the system does not have a universal plug-on transmitter to use with non-wireless mics like Sennheiser sells.I will add these fixed-capsule System 10 mics sound quite good, and have not had the actual need/desire to change to other capsules. I've never had to set a wild EQ curve to get these sounding good. I like them better than the Shure 58 and by far, better than the Beta 58. I would say sonically they are superior to Senn 835, but not quite up to Senn 935 smoothness. Gain before feedback was much better than I would have thought - better than the Shure 58s, and similar to the Senn 935. Not as good as the Heil PR22 or PR30, though. As far as 2.4ghz operation, I only had a problem once where the system 10 gear interfered with my 2.4ghz internet access - all my fault as the mic was placed on the table in contact with the laptop. Once the mic was moved from the table to use, the interference stopped. D'Oh! Also note the System 10 still passed quality sound - just played havoc with the laptop. Now, with thoughtful separation of my WiFi router (used for tablet mixing) and the System 10 receivers, they peacefully co-exist. Four feet is my rule of thumb - and I just happen to carry a four-foot table.Note: Not purchased through Amazon. Purchased through Chuck Levins in Wheaton.

I did not expect this to be this BAD. Setup could not be easier
I did not expect this to be this BAD. Setup could not be easier, plug the power, connect the XLR to your mixer, put fresh batteries in and turn it on! Good to go but as soon as I turn the 2nd Mic on it started to echo really bad and when I moved about 15 feet away from the 1st mic it stopped, thinking this is strange I moved closer again and it started to Echo so we ended up using just 1 for the time being and the 2nd problem came which was the Battery died 35min in to using it, again thinking this is not right I changed a brand new battery and it did it again. I have also bought the Lavaliere version of this Mic system at the same time and that has an additional problem which is You have to put the Mic right up to your mouth for the Audio to be heard. I have spent the better part of today talking to Audio-Technica 's support and they can not figure this out, They asked me to do a lot of things but could not get it to be right. I was looking forward to mounting these units using the Cat5 cable option to get even better reception but that is not going to happen.

Delicate Construction
I returned this item because one of the gain dials on the back of the reciever was pressed into the body. Very delicate construction. Plastic hand held transmitters. Take great care using this system.
