SPECIFICATION -- Output Power: <5 mW -- Laser Class: IIIA -- Laser Wavelength: 632 to 650 nm -- Battery Type: AG3/LR41 -- Range for Sighting: 15 to 100 yds -- Dot Size: 2 in @100yd -- Operation: on/off end cap -- Operating Temp: F/C 14 to 122 / -10 to 50 F/C CAUTION -- Be sure that your firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction before attempting to insert the boresighter. -- Do not dry-fire your firearm while the boresighter is inserted. It may cause damage to the bore sight. BATTERY INSTALLATION 1.Twist the end cap of the boresighter counter clockwise to open the battery housing. And insert the 3 AG3/LR41 batteries into the battery negative end first. 2.Be certain that the batteries are all facing in the proper direction to ensure proper function of your boresighter. 3.As the bore sight doesn’t have the on/off switch, please remove the batteries after using. HOW TO ZERO YOUR FIREARM? 1.Set your firearm in a gun vise or other stable platform so that it does not move. 2.Insert your boresighter fully into the empty chamber. And sight in your firearm at any desired distance that the laser is visible (25 yards is recommended). 3.Align your firearm so that the laser is centered on the bull’s eyes. 4.Adjust your scope (according to the manufacturers specifications) so that the reticle of the scope matches with the laser and bull’s-dyd alignment. 5.Remember to remove the batteries of your bore sight to preserve the battery life, and store in a cool, dry place.

Does what it is supposed to do
Pros: definitely sends a good dot to target. sized for multiple calibers.Cons: even at 25 yards, was barely accurate enough to get on paper. batteries don't fit properly and red dot was constantly turning off when shell was put in the rifle. I ended up putting a small balled piece of aluminum foil in the battery chamber to tighten up the connection. then it worked ok. But for the money I was glad to have it.

Depends on your sighting range
I purchased the .30-06 caliber version. First, it works. Simple three battery insert, screw on the end cap, and the beam immediately starts to work. I'm not bothered by the fact that you have to remove the batteries to turn it off (some reviews are really bothered by this). I used it at home using a backstop about 20 ft away and the resulting laser beam created an approximate 2-4 inch wide dot. I was able to sight in my scope crosshairs on the left-right axis and was able to identify a mounting issue with my scope (I run out of adjustment on the scope causing me to be ~ 6 inches low at a distance of 50 yds). So this item was helpful in that regard. My issue is that the spread of the beam is so bad that I can't see this bore sight as being useful for anything beyond 20 ft. I'll keep it but if you want a bore sight for true range use (25 yds and up) I do not recommend this item.

Stay away
Either mine was defective or the cheap Chinese batteries cause it to randomly get dim and bright. It doesn't have an on/off switch its on as soon as the batteries are put in so you have to remove the batteries to store it. Horrible but didn't expect much for the price.

Did not even get gun on paper
This is the 3rd time I have purchased a product like this and the first one that did not even get me close to being on paper. Use for initial installation of scope but nothing else.

Good price and just what I wanted.
Takes a significant amount of time and ammo out of getting zero’d in at the range.

Easy to to use
This product works with three caliber guns and with the price of Ammo at record high it is worth every cent.
