Quilt in a Day Brass Seam Ripper

I reviewed this right after I got it and did not give it a great review. Now that I've had it for a while I like it much better . It gets under small stitches and cuts them easily. The handle without the top added is okay to use while unsewing. So I am giving it a better review. However, It still don't think it is worth the price charged.

Got this as a stocking gift for my wife and daughter, both loved it, only complaint is the cap does not attach over the end to help keep track of it while it's in use.

This is a great seam ripper, but the handle doesn't slid onto the unit after it is uncapped. This has two disadvantages. The first is that the ripper is quite short without the added length of the handle. The second is that the cap tends to roll around or fall on the floor and who needs to be searching for the top when you're done using the seam ripper?

They look exactly the same from the outside. The first time I received the stiletto and I asked for a replacement. The replacement I received is still the stiletto.

I have a whole lot of rippers because I have been sewing for years. The sewing machine comes with one...other people leave theirs, etc. You get a pile of them over the years. However, they are not all the same. This is my second one of these. One for home and one for travel. This ripper is sharp an small enough to get into tiny stitches. Besides the fact that it looks so pretty, it stays sharp and handy and it has a great cap that stays on so you don't get stuck.

The cover does not fit easily over the opposite end when using. Without the length with this cap it is too short to use comfortably.

I purchased this brass seam ripper for my daughter who has just started quilting. I own one and wanted her to have one as well. It is very sharp and pretty too. I highly recommend this product.

I like that it looks like jewelry. It's effective and gets the job done. It's too early for me to speak to the longevity of it as I have only had it for a few weeks.
