Deluxe Shorty Helmet - DOT Approved Motorcycle Half Helmet

Looks good, not too much "mushroom head" look to it although I would prefer a lower fit.It is DOT rated so not just a style item. Overall, quite happy with it.

Fairly light weight and it doesn’t have that oversized, bulky mushroom shape.

Helmet fit great and is super light, great price too… kind of “ mushroom head” looking but not ridiculously. Only wish it had a quick detach chin strap release but for the price I’m not going to complain.

I ordered two of these, one for me and the other for my wife. We were getting ready to take an MSF riders course and wanted to get some cheaper DOT approved helmets. Overall, these are nice helmets for the price and served the purpose. My only problem is that this was from old stock. The piping around the bottom edge of mine was becoming separated from the bottom of the helmet. I glued it back in place as it was not worth sending back (and we didn't have time) Also, mine had a date of 7/2015 and hers was 6/2016. It is recommended, even in Fuel's product notes, to replace a helmet "after five riding seasons". The impact resistant material is basically styrofoam and that stuff doesn't last forever. Still, the helmets served the purpose for which I bought them and we plan on replacing them with a higher quality helmet later. These helmets can also be found at Walmart so I would recommend that you check there first and maybe try and check when it was made before you buy.

The large was still very small, so I grabbed my foam shaper and did a slight mod without changing integrity.Perfection 👍🏼

I don't see how a helmet that sits on TOP of your head would be any good to anyone in the event of an accident. It may serve good for the mushroom but not for man. And NO it wasn't to small, I've gone through a number of sizes and manufactures and the outcome was the same. Helmets these days just SUCK! I've perchesead 5-7 and sent everyone of them back. I'm done with them.

I've owned a lot of helmets but this is by far the most comfortable helmet ever. Great quality and light weight.
