One of the best and most effective health-improving devices I have ever purchased
These glasses are magic. That's the only way I can describe the effects that I have noticed over the past 4 weeks of wearing them. I am a male in his early 30s who is in excellent physical and mental health. However, ever since a very young child (elementary school!) I have gotten up very early. Sometimes, 4am-5am, which to me is OK. But there have been times throughout my life where I would be getting up as early as 2am, for basically no reason. Working from home means I can work at any hour I want, and I got into a habit of doing this, because the house and my home office/studio is very quiet at those hours. In fact, nearly a decade ago, it saved my life, as my apartment building caught fire at 3am, and I was the only one awake. I called 911, simply because that is when I am awake. Everyone made it out (everyone on the top floor, including a baby, had to be rescued via the fire department with rescue ladder trucks as the entire hallway was up in flames) - but the fire chief who was on scene later that morning said they got there within "minutes" of people on the first floor being overcome by the smoke. I felt like I had been in that apartment for some reason. And my early morning waking was a big part of it, though I often think I just got lucky in that case. Nevertheless, it has sometimes felt impossible to stay asleep longer than this 2-3am thing. I remember thinking, how do people actually stay in bed so long? I have not had an alarm clock wake me up in decades. To much of the amusement of my friends, and occasionally, even doctors, I have expressed how I wish I could sleep in ! Many people say, damn, "I wish I was like you!". It has it's advantages, especially for morning shift work, which I have done nearly my entire professional career; 6am-2pm shifts in public safety dispatch, air traffic control, and such. Yet, the issue here is I, for many years, would be sleepy by 8-9pm, and it was something I have always wanted to try to shift. Even if I went to bed at 11pm or later, I would still be up at 2-3am. I have spoken to doctors about this, and it's not insomnia (my sleep cycles are actually excellent). I have heard at least one person describe this as an 'evolutionary advantage'. I don't know if I'd go that far. LOL. Basically, it became fairly obvious that I did not have insomnia, or any issue with my sleep itself. I got tired, I slept, and I naturally woke up. But it simply happened on a shifted cycle, one that was a few hours advanced than the planet. Indeed, I thus finally came to realize that I was one of the rarest of the 'circadian rhythm challengers': a young person who did not have delayed sleep phases, but actually had the truly elusive and often overlooked ADVANCED sleep phase disorder. This is common in older people. But apparently I've always had it. And there's a lot of evidence it's tied to genetics (I have family members who have this, too). But - wearing the Luminette 3 for one or two sessions in the mid afternoon, in just over 4 weeks, has pushed my sleep a full TWO HOURS. I have been naturally awake until around 10pm now, and I am now getting up around 4-5am consistently. I haven't seen 2am on my clock in weeks. Furthermore, I am absolutely less tired throughout the day, and my Fitbit sleep and stress scores all improved. Of note, my heart rate variability also improved by almost double. I was very skeptical of this device, simply because I did not understand how powerful circadian entrainment can be. But, wow. I am convinced now. I also have a few pairs of Spectra479 blue-blockers, for use later on in the day, too. My only critique, and it's more or less just a suggestion, but it should be explained that, removing the protective blue film that is over the hologram is a bit confusing and can put the functionality of the device at risk. I figured it out, but I could see how someone could actually inadvertently rip the entire hologram off the device; which is the centerpiece of the technology. So, the company should better explain this, or just ditch the protective film all together. All in all, this is not enough to detract from my personal opinion of these, which is that they are a true 5/5 device, and one that has greatly improved my life.

Beneficial, Easy to Use & Practical
I have been looking into solutions for light therapy after reading about the effectiveness and was surprised to find light therapy glasses. I have been using these for better sleep and better visibility during the day from wear and tear working on a computer 40+ hours of the week. So far, so good. I really like the fact you can wear these around the house at your own leisure. If I am doing things standard tasks around the house or just curled up on the couch, I put them on to get the wear time. I am seeing an overall benefit but you do need to use them daily. I find if I skip a day, the benefits arenât as noticeable. When I do wear them its anywhere from 15-30 minutes â again just depends on what Iâm doing around the house. For me, benefits have been much more alert & less strain felt on my eyes. What I like: How easy it is to wear them, they are snug and donât fall off, very comfortable to wear, comes with a nice travel case, and re-chargeable â very practical and no need to keep purchasing batteries. It comes with extra nose pieces too, which is always appreciated to have an extra set aside should the current piece get wear and tear. Overall I really like these and would highly recommend if you are looking for a solution to better sleeping, better alert, less tired eyes â usage has been outstanding for me!

Light therapy for busy people
I have suffered from SAD my whole life and I also work 24 hour shifts that deeply disturb my sleep schedule. I usually manage this problem with sunlight exporsure, but during the darkest days of the year, I'm up and out the door before the sun comes up, so I am unable to enjoy a morning walk and get any sunlight in my eyes. I have a large medical-grade lightbox that I used to set up on my counter while I was preparing my morning coffee and breakfast, but I never spend enough time standing in front of it at the prescribed distance. With these luminette glasses I just throw them on first thing and do my morning routine with them blasting at level 3. The timer on level 3 is 20 minutes I believe - just about as long as my morning routine. Nothing replaces the sun, and I can't say for certain that this is as strong as a serious light box (not the cheap stuff on amazon), but I can say that I'm feeling good. I'm energized in the morning, and my sleep cycle is slightly less messed up than normal. I'm very happy I purchased these, and particularly this Luminette brand. I wouldn't take the chance with cheap knock-offs, nor would I blow money on smart features and apps. This product is simple, straightforward, and powerful, and I'm grateful for the impact it has had on my wellbeing. Also you look absolutely crazy wearing them, which has turned into a fun game with my three year old daughter.

Very stupid not worth $200
Instructions are very unclear and and it causes a headache. Technology today is all overpriced garbage. This company sends you a thick manual with extra tiny print but you need to go online to find videos of how to correctly unbox these glasses. You can easily damage these glasses. They do not fit or adjust it is immediately uncomfortable to wear. In a few minutes they cause a banging migraine. It's a light for $200 you can literally stare into your phone on the brightest setting or another blue light source and use foil to reflect the light like old-school suntanning. Technology is very stupid.

Purchased direct from Luminette as these werenât available on Amazon at the time. I tried every light there was. White, blue and green light Therapy and various brands. A few details that make the average light therapy product less convenient than it should be is that 1) distance to the light source is everything. 2) that distance is waaay less than you think (typically under 12â to see maximum benefit from a high lux light). Most people do not use the standard type SAD lights anywhere near that close, the lux to your eyes falls off dramatically over distance. 3) standard type SAD lights do serve a purpose and can be nice to have as a quality CRI light source that may off some benefit. 4) standard high lux SAD lights are a giant hammer when what you really need are more precisely targeted light frequencies over raw lumen. Though, again, I do think broad spectrum light IS helpful as an adjunct to the Luminette device when you are working at the desk, computer, reading etc. The issue I had with the majority of lights is that I got little benefit. I had to guess at whether I was in fact seeing a benefit. For me, my deepest winter SAD symptom is increased food cravings. This is the final boss for me and when I absolutely know Iâm deep in it, and may have screwed up by not starting treatment sooner. Itâs remarkable to seasonally find yourself ravenous and needing to muscle through winter to keep the body weight stable. For others their worst manifested SAD symptom may be different, but I think we all have that one thing that lets us know that what we are doing to treat SAD isnât working or to know we should have been treating it sooner and not let it go that far; loss of interest in things and depression being super common. Luminette was a Hail Marry if ever there was one for me. I ignored this product for too long thinking it couldnât be a serious treatment, not enough LUX, not enough LEDâsâŠsurely... âŠwell I had to order it direct as Amazon was not an option, but no product, absolutely not one single product of the hordes of products I tried to treat my SAD with over the years, even came close to what this did for me. You cannot make SAD go away completely, at least mine wonât, but the massive improvement of all symptoms in LESS than 7 days (7 to 14 days being the typical wait and see period for most lights) blew my mind. It was the first time in all these years I felt I had experienced relief of my symptoms. Keys to success. If you have a more flexible morning schedule during wake up time due to a later shift vs. straight out the door to work, set your alarm to wake up the same time every day. Period. No matter what. If you have SAD and messed up sleep like a lot of us do with exhaustion during the morning and endless mental energy at night, set the morning alarm and stay with it no matter what. The bed time tends to take care of itself after treatment takes effect. Also, donât hesitate to use this around when it gets dark in your region. Where I am, in the summer itâs light until 10:30 and in the winter itâs dark by 5. So this time of year, I would begin to use it by 5 for 20min on high to gain the best effect. This is the hardest one for me to integrate, but if and when I do, it works the best. Just use it when there would normally be light but there isnât anymore. It will not interfere with sleep. I absolutely recommend this product and as strange a setup as it is with its fewer LEDâs and the hologram sticker/reflector, this is THE product. The splitting off of the blue light frequency is brilliant and avoids the use of blue LEDâs which have higher photonic energy and, as postulated, may lead to issues later on like macular degeneration. This is a safe product based on my own deep dive into it and meets the standard for its medical claims. Worth the try, give it time to work, lots of people seem to find 4 days results in improvements, but give it a full 2 weeks as the majority will respond in this time frame. Having this on your face like glasses solves the proximity issue and sidesteps the lux issue as well as the potentially deleterious blue LED light issue while targeting the specific receptors that help regulate circadian rhythm. This is why this product is one of the most elegant solutions around right now.

Pour ma part j'avais des migraines chroniques, devenant trĂšs handicapantes avec le temps sur mon activitĂ© professionnelle. Il se trouve que je suis quelqu'un qui passait trop de temps sur un ordinateur en tĂ©lĂ©travail, et cela sans mettre les pieds dehors... Donc un manque flagrant de soleil dans ma vie quotidienne. Insomnies chroniques, migraines chroniques au point que ma tĂȘte allait exploser... Des difficultĂ©s grandissantes Ă faire mon travail, Un stress et le coeur qui bat au moment de dormir la nuit, et au final des envies de dormir Ă n'importe quelle heure durant la journĂ©e... bref mon horloge interne Ă©tait complĂštement dĂ©rĂ©glĂ©e. Ces luminettes sont Ă l'heure actuelle une aide prĂ©cieuse afin de re-rĂ©gler mon horloge interne ! Je les portent deux fois 1 heure par jour (petit dĂ©jeuner puis en dĂ©but d'aprĂšs midi), soit 2 heures au total et je commence en moins d'une semaine Ă retrouver un sommeil +/- paisible. Cela va en s'amĂ©liorant, mais c'est sĂ»r ça n'est pas en 1 semaine que l'on va re-rĂ©gler des annĂ©es de mauvaises pratiques... Toutefois je sens vraiment la diffĂ©rence en mĂȘme pas une semaine, mes migraines ont baissĂ©es en intensitĂ©, voir ont commencĂ©s Ă disparaĂźtre, et aller dormir la nuit n'est plus aussi stressant. Finis les tisanes anti-stress depuis 1 semaine alors qu'avant c'Ă©tait automatique ! Cela prouve bien qu'il y a amĂ©lioration! De plus je ne dors absolument plus la journĂ©e... Ou alors 1 seule sieste de 30 min sur ces 5 derniers jours. On est loin des 5 siestes de 1h d'avant... Mon humeur gĂ©nĂ©rale tend vers plus de positivitĂ©, et j'ai tout simplement plus d'Ă©nergie tout au long de la journĂ©e. Donc oui ces lunettes sont chĂšres... mais quand c'est pour votre santĂ©, il ne vaut mieux pas regarder Ă la dĂ©pense. Perso je suis content de pouvoir mettre enfin un traitement naturel sur mon problĂšme... Car j'avais consultĂ© quelques mĂ©decins et on tĂątonnait sans vraiment savoir de quoi il Ă©tait question.

Jag kör 20-30 min varje morgon sÄ fort jag vaknar och det hjÀlper verkligen bra mot min sÀsongsdeppression. Jag har haft en vanlig lampa och kört 5-10 min under frukosten men det funkar inte alls. Det verkar som att avstÄndet frÄn ögonen samt konsekvent belysning i minst 20min Àr medicinen. Rekommenderas starkt till alla som lider under höst och vinter.

Mi nivel de energĂa en las mañanas era muy bajo. Desde las 6am hasta alrededor de las 10am sĂłlo pensaba en dormir. Me sentĂa cansado y adormilado. ComencĂ© a salir un ratito al sol y notĂ© quĂ© me ayudaba, pero desafortunadamente la luz de sol pega bien en dĂłnde trabajo hasta las 9-10, siempre y cuando no estĂ© nublado. EstĂĄ soluciĂłn ha resultado de maravilla. Me siento mucho mejor por las mañanas. La uso inmediatamente al despertarme.
