The box does what it needs to do which is extend. Quality seems acceptable. This one has six holes. Would it be too much to ask to supply enough of the cheap plastic closure plugs to fill all the holes? I'd be happy with 5. But they send 3. Now I have to dig through my electical junk box or run to Home Depot to find 2 more since I only need to connect to one threaded hole. Yes. I know if you dig into the description it says 3 are supplied. How many people use this to connect 3 or more things to the 1/2" connections?

Boxes are sturdy and well made. You’ll need to purchase additional screws plugs as it has 6 openings but only includes 3 plugs. Also, keep in mind that installing wiring thru any of the openings can be a challenge, depending on the component that you intend to install in the box extension (example: a GFI outlet is quite tight, given the rectangular shape of the receptacle).

It's a juggling act, need to align the ring with the gasket, align the receptacle, and align the waterproof cover all at the same time. Then you need to insert the screws and hope it you can tighten it without it getting all misaligned.

I like Hubbell products usually. I like this box in particular because it is low profile and for outdoor applications, keeps your outlets from sticking way out.This product came with only three plugs (Ive used them before and they came with 6 plugs) which looked like a mistake as usually has this many pipes coming into one box. Anyway, called tech support as listed on the Amazon site. That number was inactive. Googled Hubble and called 1-800 number. OK, redirected to Tech Support. Ray knew exactly what I wanted but need to put me through to the right department as he was tech support for receptacles, not the boxes. Got through to that 1-800 number. Went to voicemail. Left a message. No callback after 2 days.In retrospect, I should have sent this one back and gotten a new one as chances are it would have come with all the right pieces.Hubbell:1. Correct your 1-800 numbers on Amazon2. Do you really need that many tech support lines?3. People need to call back

I used this to extend an outside receptacle on a mobile home. The only reason I gave this a three star instead of a five star is the fact that the same set of screws that hold the receptacle in also hold the extension in place. And when you put a in-use cover on the receptacle, the same screws also holds the cover in place. It was a juggling match to hold the gasket in place and try to fasten the in-use cover on at the same time. It would be better and faster if the extension would attach firmly to the original box, the the screws would on have to hold the receptacle and the cover in place.

Good quality and perfect for my application. It would have been nice to have plugs for most of the holes however -- it only came with three.
