Would-be babe magnets Calvin and Leonard (Friedle and Owen) thought that the only way they could ever get girls was by getting rich... by getting hitched... to the elderly! And now that they've waltzed down the aisle with two giddy biddies, can these two gold diggers achieve their American Dream? Or have they just dug themselves into a corpulent nightmare?

Friedle Funny!!!!!!☺️
I enjoyed the movie. It's ashame people didn't think very highly of it. Will Friedle and Chris Owen are great in it. They work well together. Unfortunately, there's no closed captioning and the girl on the cover, is only in it for a few scenes. She's not in the majority of the movie. But I don't watch it for her. I watch it for Will Friedle. I love him and he is hilarious in this movie. As always!!!! But I will say, this is probably more of a guy movie. Unless you're a girl watching it for Will. ☺️

Only For National Lampoon's Completionists and Fans
This was a meager attempt to add onto the National Lampoon's tradition. The movie itself was somewhat entertaining, but it really did little to nothing when it came to capturing the interest of the audience. The character development was very minimal and the acting was a little below par. However, it did deliver on some level of entertaining the audience with extremely desperate characters and although the script's storline was pretty thin, it managwed to present somewhat of a tangibly grounded plot that kept me interested in the outcome of the movie. This is just a meagerly fun movie and there are no great performances, but it simply serves as a slice of Hollywood B-Movie entertainment. So, if it is a b-movie someone is searching for with the expectations of such a movie, this your movie.

A Letdown from National Lampoon
This could have been a good movie. The premise was ripe for exploitation and nobody exploits the stupidity of people in general and young people in particular better than National Lampoon. They are the acknowleged masters of the exploitation genere: movies with absolutely no redeeming social value that still leave you laghing. In this case, however, they exploited only their reputation. The premise is of a couple of young idiots looking for an easy life without work. Hey...it's worked for years. They fail at just about everything including purse snatching and armed robbery. Finally they hit upon a scheme to marry a couple of rich spinsters and wait to collect the inheritance. There is a problem, though, in that the spinsters are hard up for cash as well and conceive of a plot to marry the dumb kids who tried to mug them, insure them heavily and then kill them for the payout. It had so much potential for comedy and it falls flat. There are a few moments of brief humor but they are far too few and far between. Most of my time was spent agonizing "surely, it will get better". It didn't.I almost gave this one a single star. What kept me from doing so is that there are a few movies out there that are even worse. Unfortunately, I have seen some of them.Buy this one if you MUST complete your National Lampoon Collection or if you want something to distract you from the pain of a root canal. Otherwise, don't bother. Even renting is a stretch.
