This cable does it's job well and I would recommend it. It baffles me that my 14TB Western Digital did not come with an SS to usb-c cable, considering it's 2024 and even SSD drives I've purchased from Walmart come with usb-c connection cables...It is easy to make the mistake of using a usb-a to usb-c adaptor which does not support USB 3.0 speeds. I did that many times before realizing I had inadvertently plugged into the wrong speed usb port on my docking hub, or simply didn't have a USB 3.0 rated adaptor with me when not working from my home office, leaving me dealing with painfully slow transfer speeds. I decided it was well worth it to just get this SS to usb-c cable and store it with the hard drive, it eliminates the opportunity for error and the time saved is well worth it.
