Glasstic Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle - 16oz - Flip Cap Sports Water Bottle - Blue

I've had these bottles for about three months,(bought my first one in April - then bought two more) and this bottle is amazing. It is leak proof, it is durable, it is so easy to clean because the whole bottle comes apart. And I mean the whole bottle, and you can sanitize every part. The lock feature is very useful, has saved me from a ton of messes when I knock the bottle over - because I'm a total klutz. The bottle itself is stable and doesn't tip easy, but when I do knock the bottle over I know I'm okay. I feel safe to have drinks near my desktop, as long what I'm drinking out of one of these bottles, and locking the top. It's really perfect, for me.With this bottle you can have the best of both worlds. I prefer to drink from glass because it doesn't affect the taste, but I'm too klutzy and break glass bottles eventually. This meant I was drinking out of plastic (and reusing the bottles as long as I could) and those tasted terrible, and was not environmentally sound. With this bottle that is just not a problem. Glass protected inside shatterproof plastic. Best of both worlds, and better for the environment. Even better? The company will replace any part you need for free if any part of your bottle breaks. They will pay shipping and everything.If you are looking for a bottle to end all need for other bottles, you found it. What are you waiting for?

I just got this today so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. If anything changes, I'll edit my review. But for now, let me say that I did a LOT of searching before purchasing this item and this looks to me like the most toxic-free water bottle on the market. The glass is lead-free, and the rest is as described on the item's page. It is easy to disassemble to clean, and is listed as 100% shatterproof! It's attractive, easy to handle, fits into my car's cupholder, and I can't wait to start using it. The flip top has a lock! You can lock it if you're putting it in your gym or other bag and it'll remain securely closed and leak proof. It has three different silicone rings that can be very easily removed for cleaning. I don't know yet if it retains warmth or sustains cold when in use, but I'll know soon enough. I'm not sure I would put hot drinks in it though, and I certainly wouldn't put it in my freezer, but that's just me. If that's something you think you want to do, I would contact the manufacturer.

This is a great bottle for anyone but it's, particularly, the best glass water bottle I've found for my 3 year old. I also like Lifefactory bottles but this Glasstic bottle is more durable and the top is easier for him to use, and MUCH easier for me to clean. It's got a little sliding lock that he has fun opening (and that's also good for storage—haven't seen leakage).There seems to be no perfect bottle for a child, and the two cons of this one are:1. the top is some kind of hard plastic—not as toxin-free as silicone though it's supposed to be at least BPA-free, and2. if the top is left open and the bottle falls over the water will pour out, so I have to monitor my son a bit more than with a sippy cup designed for a child (e.g. the Silikids Siliskin Glass Sippy Cup which is beautiful and the mouthpiece is silicone but the capacity is too small for him now and the glass is not as protected—it broke when he dropped it).The Glasstic bottle is easy to clean with a standard bottle brush, and all the pieces come apart for the periodic deep cleaning any drinking bottle should get.I highly recommend this for anyone concerned with the health risks of drinking water from plastic or metal, or who doesn't like the flavor of liquids stored in plastic or metal.

Kudos to Glasstic for this design. I am a very anal researcher when it comes to buying a new type of product. I have been researching glass bottles for three weeks before ordering this product. I also ordered another brand on the same day to compare the two. My coworkers agreed that this product was the clear winner.The only reason I did not give five stars is because I have only had this unit for a couple of days so the durability and mold jury is still out. I filled the bottle with filtered water and carried it to lunch with me. I felt confident it would not leak so I had no issue with laying it on its side on my tray as I walked throughout the cafeteria.UPDATE - I just changed rating to five stars due to durability - END UPDATEThe handle feels very sturdy. The lid flips back and basically locks into any position to include the 90, 180, and 260 degree positions (opening lid left to right). I also slept with this product half-filled on my nightstand. I woke up, took a drink, and went back to sleep. The raised spout allowed me to feel the proper placement in the dark as not to spill water on myself or my bed.On a personal note there was writing on the bottom of the invoice apparently by hand. The statement was a request to add a review on Amazon if I liked the product. You don't see that personal touch that often these days. It indicates they value what I think about their product so kudos to whomever wrote that note. My review is based on my experience and not on the request. However, it is good to know that your thoughts have some value to a manufacturer from the moment you open the box.I'll continue to use this product at work as well as home and will not hesitate to let people know where I purchased it.On an entirely separate note I would also like to recommend a new, no-nonsense nutrition book called  It's Not the Cans: The Best Nutrient Balance for a Stronger and Healthier You  . I was very impressed and view the information to be very useful for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Keeps water cold and tasting good. The flip top is especially convenient for drinking. I have bought several and highly recommend the bottle.
