One Year Update,After 365+ days of wearing the XPETI CREST boot, I must say these have been the most comfortable and dependable pair of boots I've ever purchased! The boots have such a benefit to my feet and back I've purchased a new pair that arrived today and yes, these are just as comfortable right out of the box.I've pushed this boot beyond its limits and they were my daily work boot. Working 8-10 hr day in and out of commercial freezer @ -10⁰.So, I highly recommend this boot for comfort, fit and durability. Yes, I bought 2nd pair. See review on new purchase.REVIEW UPDATE,After wearing the XPETI boots for 3 months, I would say this is one of the best boots I've worn. The boots have continued to provide support, comfort and durability under daily freezer work environment (there is little to no water in the freezer I work in). Over the past 3 month the XPEIT BOOT has indured approx 7 mi or 15,500 steps a day in -10 degree conditions. Overall, these boot are on the purchase again list in the future.These are awesome boots. Personally, the size was the same as my normal foot wear. These were comfortable right out of the box and very warm. I work in a freezer and on my feet 8-10 hrs a day or 17k-21k steps per day and the boots have been great. So, only time will tell how well they hold up. Would buy again, yes.

Updated Review: Since my original review was posted, let's just say that I have an evolved opinion on these boots. When I first put them on, they felt just like a lower cost boot, but after a quick break in of like an hour, they developed a better "relationship" with my feet, and I now consider them to be superior to those I have owned at twice the price.Now that the temperatures have been in the sub-zero (F) range around here for a week or so, I've gotten to see how they perform in the cold, and I can say that they have kept my feet toasty for the 1-1.5 hours I have been outside with them at those temperatures. One other thing that I have really enjoyed is the speed and functionality of the lacing system. Well done!! If you're more into traditional laces, they come with those too.Original Review: This is a "get what you pay for" sort of boot. Pretty okay, but you probably won't run out and tell all your friends and neighbors about them. They do seem sturdy, so we'll have to see how they last.

Spent 3 days hiking in Estes Park. Over 23 miles, and over 4500' elevation change.The boots were very comfortable, waterproof and breathable.The rubber soles, heal, toecap are still glued shut. nothing is coming off.We were sweating going up steep elevation, and it made the boots to be moist after the 5 hr hike was over, but we dried them before next hike.Merrill hiking boots we used few years back just started to fall apart.2 pair of hiking boots for 1 of Merrill's, ha! can't beat that.I like mine, and my son loved his, he felt very confident in the grip, he was flying on the boulders.

Unlike most reviews, I don't use these to work in a freezer. However, they were needed to stand outside in below 40F temps for long periods. I found they worked well in these conditions and I did not feel any cold penetrating from either the outer part of the shoe, nor the sole. Regarding the strings, there was a heavier weight standard cord in the box, which I preferred and swapped out. Out of the box, there wasn't much break in required, just a small amount, maybe 30 min worth. Fit was good and true to US sizes; I'd say there is room in the entire shoe for thicker sock without hindering the fit.

So , I didn't know what to expect for this price . I read the reviews and took a chance . These are amazing ! Extreme comfort right out of the box ! I love the look of them also and they are super comfortable and soft around my feet ! I am a size 9 and the fit was perfect and I can fit a winter wool sock in them with no problem ! I have a pair of timberland hiking boots more than double the price of these and I would choose these any day over those , There that good ! Well made, warm , comfortable can't ask for any more out of a pair of hiking boots ! We have temps below zero right now and these have kept my feet warm and comfy ! They feel like a blanket around my feet , love the material ! Anyway , Great shoe ! Xpeti is awesome ! Buy these !!

I took a chance on these boots, not your typical hiking boots look. I use these mainly for disc golfing in rain and recently snow. They fit great and are very comfortable even after climbing over rocks and downed trees searching for my lost disc's! They look so good that my wife wanted a pair so we purchased a pair in the purple and she loves them! We ordered our shoe sizes and they fit perfectly. I would size up if you intend on wearing thick winter socks with these but honesty i think these will be warm enough in colder temperatures as is. The boots come with a strong thin cord to lace up with which i really like but the company also supplies a standard set of boot laces if you prefer those. I highly recommend these boots!

Incredibly comfortable shoe. rugged and well made. Its well insulated so make sure you purchase a size larger or if you like wearing thick socks, then consider a size and a half larger.Even though its well insulated, it breathes well as I live in Brisbane, Australia its comfortable wearing in our sub-tropical climate.
