My Mom is from Sudan where they use these traditional Gelabias in the home all year round. If you're not living in the Middle East they're pretty much impossible to find. That's why I was so excited to find an authentic Egyptian seller. It took awhile to find the correct sizing, but we've found that the size is similar to American sizing. She's a size 14/16 - the L size is too small, the XXL is too large, but XL is just right. The material is a lightweight cotton, but most colors are not see-through (except the cream). They're a bit long for her 5'3 height and since they're all long-sleeve, we'll probably cut them down to short sleeves. The embroidery on the Gelabias is well done but there have been a couple with minor defects. All in all they've been good quality and you can't beat the price! I'll definitely be ordering more.
