Best knife purchase under $15 you can make!
I absolutely love this knife. The very first thing I noticed when I got it is that it’s got a nice weight to it. Didn’t feel cheap when you hold it. The second thing I noticed is it’s actually a bit bigger than I expected and in a good way. I had biggish hands and it fits perfectly into my grip. I also love the way the matte black and wood look together, very pretty look to it! The spring assist also has a nice solid feel to it as well, not too jumpy, not too stiff. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and have already recommended to others!

One of the best cheap knives!
I can't say enough how much I love having a few of these around... I have one at each of my desks, and one in my car, and I find myself using it every single day, multiple times a day! I use them for everything from opening letter, to opening boxes, to cutting up random bits of materials. They are a great cheap knife to have around rather than scratching up an expensive Spiderco or Benchmade. To add to it all, they look awesome! I got mine in the Brown Pakkawood color. They look awesome, and they feel amazing... this company has done their homework when it comes to designing and making a great knife.

Well built knife that looks like a $200 knife.
This is my second Elk Ridge ER-A003 knife. I purchased my first one 2 years ago at Wall Drugs in South Dakota and have carried it every day. For some reason, one of the screws fell out of the knife and it wouldn't function properly. Since they are relatively cheap, I chose to purchase another identical one since they are a good quality knife. I have no fixed the broken one and have two.

Good looking knife for a good looking price
This is a beautiful knife, with a great finish. I have yet to actually test the blade on this knife, as i did not purchase it for EDC. I just liked the way this knife looked. It came just as it was pictured, minus the "ballistic" stamp on the blade. That was definitely not on the blade as you can see in the pictures i provided. The knife feels well made and does not appear to be cheaply made and for the price youre paying there is really nothing to complain about. It would be an exceptional gift for anyone with an interest in knives or not, as the aesthetics are very nice.

Did I mention I love this knife?
I have owned a lot of knives through the years, and I'm 60 so I can say "through the years" and it involves a few. I have owned buck's and Kershaw's and Case's and Old timer's And I use my knives strenuously; Rather like like other guys use crowbars and hammers, so I expect a lot from a knife, My knives were my "multi-tools" long before Leatherman came along....but This ElkRidge A003 is probably the first time I fell in love at first blade lock. It is a solid clunk that sounds like the breech lock on my old double barrel. It is a heavy knife, and most of the weight is in the hand. And a bonus for me is that I am left handed so when they stuck the pocket clip on the left side of the knife, I'm sure they thought they were doing all of you right handers a favor, but that is not how I see it, I get to have the pocket clip under my left thumb, which ensures a solid grip to assist me in opening the knife. The blade has plenty of positive spring pressure to assist in opening, and the tang at the base of the blade is long enough that I get a good leverage to open the knife. Opening is swift, and the lock is positive. I've seen knives selling for ten times the price of this knife, that were not half as good. The drop point blade is beautifully hollow ground by CNC, and gives the blade a light airy feel. I a plan to get several more of these knives as gifts (and for me as replacements.)

Best knife for price- definitely would recommend
I compared this Elk Ridge knife ER-A003 and a similarly priced mtech knife MT-A853. In the photos this knife is on the left mtech on the right. I liked the styling a bit more on the mtech and the blade flipped out faster on mtech. This elk Ridge knife is a bit bigger, chunkier and heavier than the mtech but the elk ridge feels better in the hand with a superior grip and weighting. This knife's liner lock is more reliable than mtech. I feel like this knife is a bit sturdier because it has 3 pins in the handle holding it together vs only two in the mtech. Last but not least is the clip which is same in size and material but mtech has 'upside down' orientation. Overall I preferred this knife over the mtech for look, feel and construction.

Was Skeptical but It's a solid choice
Due to a lack of photos and sparse reviews I bought this in optimism but it's a very well built, sturdy, and classy looking knife. It's a bit heavy but that's better than cheaply made plastic and the blade springs fast (maybe 1/4th of a second.) It's sharp out of the box as well, impressed especially for the price.

Nice quality, heavy knife... however leather pull doesn't match and spring assist lacks strength...
Nice heavy knife, good quality construction. Beautiful wood handle. Spring assist isn't the best, probably due to the heavy weight of the blade itself. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the leather pull string which doesn't match the wood or anything else on this knife. It seems out of place and the thumb lock/closure isn't the easiest to use... Other than that it's a fine knife. NOTE: If you appreciated this review please give it a “thumbs up/like” your helping me to continue to give honest/unbiased insight into products I’ve used and you may have questions about. Interested in a product but don't know enough about it and would like it reviewed? Please let me know and I'll see what I can do... Thank you 🙏
