Perfect for Beginners and Reference Use
This is a must-have book for general information on chakras, no matter your level of experience...But of all the chakra books out there, I would recommend THIS one as a starting point to anyone who wants to begin learning.It is great for those starting out on their journey because of its basic concept, simple instruction and colorful and meaningful graphics. Visual learners will not be disappointed. I also appreciated that this was not really a self-help book as some books about chakras tend to be- this is an informative book with some instruction on self-analysis relating to the corresponding chakra.Personally, I love the text book style layout. There is enough white space to not overwhelm your eyes, but you stay interested as your attention shifts around the page.The book is organized beautifully and chock-full of information— there are general and more elaborate explanations for each chakra, historical context and affirmations; there is even an introductory section devoted to various chakra healing methods including homeopathy, crystals, meditation and more.Even though I believe this book is perfect for beginners, I do not think you’d feel like it was a waste of time if you have experience.I find that the questionnaires, affirmations and section for “qualities and attributes” of each chakra make a fantastic reference for even the seasoned practitioner to use for study or confirmation.One review pointed out correctly that this is a coffee table type book, and I like that. It is large, but light (at around 124 pages of good cardstock). Its handsome cover art looks great on top of a table, but the large title print along the binding makes it stand out on the bookshelf.

Great Introduction to the Chakras
I am very pleased with this book - it has been a great introduction to the chakras. A little over a year ago I changed my diet to a vegan, mostly raw diet to improve my physical health. While eating this way over the course of the past year I have experienced a profound awakening that was more than just physical health improving. In the back of this book the author discusses food therapy as a way to help open and heal your chakras. I now understand that this is what I have been doing - though didn't know it. This book explained and confirmed a lot of what I have been experiencing. It also helped me identify chakras that still need some help and gave very practical ways to help open/heal them including meditations, affirmations, metacognitive and lifestyle changes. This book has also helped me gain an understanding of how our physical and energetic bodies are interrelated which I feel will help me continue to take the best possible care of myself in the future.

Great resource for chakras
Nice colorful graphic interior. Great to use as a reference. I know I’ll be going back to this one

You are your own healer.
I had originally borrowed this book from the library, but I was so impressed with the meditations and self-reflection topics that I had to have my own copy. These things take time. There are in-depth descriptions of each chakra and how they effect and interact with your body as a whole, as well as meditations and questions to ask yourself and reflect on over a period of time. After revisiting them a week or two later you will be able to clearly see your soul's progress toward enlightenment and health, mentally, physically and spiritually. I would recommend this book to anyone who desires to know and understand themselves better as well as those who are striving for balance from within.

A good book for beginners
I would recommend having some meditation experience before trying this book. You may be sitting there a while. I did this book and found that images kept popping into my mind. As I've learned from years of meditation experience either speak what you are seeing into a digital recording device or stop and write them down. Sometimes what you see can be dismissed and other times it's the garbage your carrying around and your not addressing it. This book will help you see the garbage, so you can address it. By addressing our baggage we help/work on getting rid of it. I would say go slowly if you've never meditated before. This can be overwhelming.

The information is well presented and easy to read and understand. It is helpful for beginner, intermediate and even advanced students of the chakra system. The assessment questions for the chakra system are the best I have ever seen. Ambika Wauters is my new, favorite teacher. All students of the Chakra system should own this book.

Incredibly informative and helpful.
Although I have not yet completed the book, I find this work a must for anyone who wishes to work on the individual chakras and utilize meditation offered as a daily practice. I never expected this work to be so incredibly informative and helpful and I would recommend it to family and friends as a must have keepsake to refer to daily to uplift the spirits and do the restorative suggestions offered. Amazon delivered the book in excellent condition as usual and it arrived ahead of schedule of the date stated which made me very happy and excited.
