This French convertible cuff collared dress shirt can be worn in two different ways; with cufflinks or with the shirt cuff buttons. Cufflinks in men's wear have soared in popularity over recent years, making the transition from "formal wear only," to a more universal style that can be worn at both formal and casual occasions. Due to this rising trend, having the option to wear a shirt cuff buttoned or with cufflinks has increased in its appeal. This collared men's dress shirt's traditional design allows for easy coordination with just about any suit, tie, jacket and trousers.

Nothing French about it
The "Convertible" in "Convertible French cuffs apparently means two things, 1) You have to cut off two buttons if you want to wear cuff links and not have buttons showing ... making it not "convertible" anymore, and 2) the sleeves are too short to actually fold back on themselves creating the double cuff that defines " French Cuffs" (unless you intend to wear them 3/4 sleeve.)It would be more accurate to describe these as "regular dress shirts that you can use with a cuff link, after alteration, or just button them."The 17 - 17.5 neck size fit more like a 16.5 than a 17.5. Order a larger size if you expect a legit 17.5 .

Great color selection- poor workmanship
I was initially delighted to see all of the colors in the Berlioni convertible cuff line on Amazon. I read several of the unfavorable reviews but ordered anyway. Normally, people who are happy don’t make the time to leave a favorable review so I assumed the negativity was simply skewed.I was wrong.I ordered two colors in the Berlioni convertible cuff line (Orange and Burgundy). The workmanship on the shirts is shoddy as are the materials used for interfacing. The Orange shirt’s pocket bottom was initially mis-stitched (the machine operator MISSED the pocket and sewed BELOW it) and then was re-stitched with a second stitch line to close the pocket bottom; I have a 1.5" stitch line BELOW the pocket in addition to the operator’s second try which actually sewed the pocket. The interfacing material in the cuffs and collars is odd; not a normal non-woven “Pellon” type or even a woven stiffener. The peculiar interfacing material seems to be some sort of a paper based product that takes on a very noticeable permanent crinkle (came that way) and gets worse after it is laundered as a normal shirt would be. This is especially true with the Burgundy shirt; the collar has very pronounced creases running from the fold line to the collar’s edge. The cuff is similarly disfigured. I tried to press the cuff and the collar, but it was of very little help. As a matter of fact, it appears that the Burgundy shirt’s collar was sew on backwards (i.e., what should be the underside of the collar faces outward.) The underside of the collar is smooth and irons nicely; the fusible interfacing is on the wrong surface inside of the collar and is contributing the perma-wrinkle…I can overlook the many threads left from the manufacturing process (especially prevalent along the flat-felled side seams) but the shoddy collars, cuffs, and extraneous stitch lines are difficult to correct. I had added most of the Berlioni shirt colors to my Amazon wishlist with the intent to purchase to add to my collection (approximately 60 different dress shirts) but after receiving the shipment yesterday and pulling the shirts out of the laundry today, I have deleted all of them from my list. The huge choice of colors is meaningless if the shirt’s construction is so sub-standard and is an embarrassment to wear.

Beautiful colors ! Thin Material ! Cardboard For stiffing !
These are very nice shirts. The bright colors are beautiful. And they have any color you could want. I would like French cuffs But these are NOT French cuffs. They are convertible cuffs, Which are nice if you want to wear cuff links(That's Me). They also have 2 buttons on the cuffs so you can size to fit them without links--- Great. I wish the material was a little thicker as you can see through & where the material is doubled at cuffs, pocket & collar, The color really POPS. Two big problems: The sizing is a joke. Not even close. I wear 17~17.5 neck & 32~33 sleeves. Going by other reviews I ordered 18~18.5 neck & 34~35 sleeves. The neck is perfect! The sleeves are perfect. I drown in the rest. The sleeves start at 1.5" off the shoulders but come out perfect at the end. The sides will fit when I gain 50 lbs more. It helped to wash & over dry to shrink a little. Maybe more drying will help ? Looks nice with a suit coat, But without a coat, It's a flag. Worst for last. The stiffening material in the collar & cuffs is cardboard, Not material. When washed, It wrinkles & shows. These say Italy, But are made in China by the tag. The tag also says 2XL, That's why I'm drowning. I wear a L, But then the sleeves would be too short. I had a number of these on my AMAZON wish list as they looked GREAT. I'll still try other sizes to see if I can get closer. The shirts are VERY NICE. Great for everyday wear. I only hope that this review gets read by company & with a few changes, I would gladly give another $10 per shirt to buy a closet full. Try one for yourself. They are nice dress shirts. Maybe I'm too particular.

DIRTY AND USED SHORT RECEIVED!!!
AWFUL!!! SENT TO ME A USED, STUFFED AS TRASH IN PLASTIC WRAP. PICTURES ARE ATTACHED AND SPEAK BETTER THAN WORDS.Returned and received a refund.PS: I've purchased this exact brand at least 7 times prior and always received it absolutely perfect and as new as can be.That I received this shirt in such an insulting condition, means management doesn't do its job of quality control at all and since shirts are sold as factory new, they have no business reselling returned items, especially in such condition that I would not wipe my hardwood floor with.LOOK AT THREE PHOTOS ATTACHED TO THIS REVIEW.

Beautiful Shirt - 5-Star plus.
I normally wear a 4X as I am a rather larger man, especially around the middle. This is a beautiful well constructed shirt and I plan on purchasing more. But, sight unseen I purchased this shirt for an event and didn’t have a chance to receive and return it for a larger size due to time restrictions. Had I purchased a 5X it would have fit well I’m sure, so this blunder is my fault and in no way the responsibility of the manufacturer. It is well constructed, and well worth the purchase. I highly recommend this product, but think you may want to consider to upsize it, as I believe they run a little small.
