Bought the 1.5x version. My monitor became 10% larger but most importantly, in much better focus. The monitor takes on a slight cinema-like curve. I do feel the extra weight because my normal glasses are very lightweight. These clip-ons are well made but probably not scratch-proof. An ultra-lightweight version of these clip-ons (using high refraction plastic and with a simple clip) would interesting even if at a higher price. Will try these on travels with laptop.At this price, well worth trying out, if only to see whether it's worth getting a proper pair of computer/reading glasses (I hate the idea of bifocals for driving).A previous review explaining that these aren't magnifying glasses, but modify the dioptre, is what helped me choose.

Good idea and works well in terms of reading vision. Seems to be well made. Unfortunately, the clips holding the flip up glasses do appear in the sightline. Wearer looks very odd to other people!

Slightly expensive and a bit heavy but not excessively so.Otherwise good quality and does the job nicely.Comes in a useful protective and pocketable case and nice cleaning cloth.

Arrived quickly with a good, protective case. The build quality is good and the lenses produce a sharp image with no distortion. They do add weight to existing glasses but not uncomfortably so. I have been impressed by the quality given the price. You can buy cheaper but these are worth that little extra.

I ordered clip on glasses against the menu selection for 4X i.e. 4 Times Magnification. The glasses I received were 4 PLUS diopters NOT 4 TIMEs. The glasses actually have a 4+ label on the them. So they give very little magnification. This has been commented on before by other customers. I have also reported this error to Amazon. People who have bought other Magnifications ie 2.5 seem to have been OK.

They work fine. However, they are not 1.5X, they are 1.5 diopters. 1.5X doesn't make any sense - you measure lenses in diopters. Seller just got their units wrong. 1.5 diopters means a focal length of 2/3m, so you can focus on an item held 67cm away through these glasses as if the item was a long way away. It has really helped with my reading, anyway.

Too heavy pushed glasses down but good concept

My eye is really getting bad... The bifocal lens is not good enough.. So, I decided to buy this clip-on, so that I can easily put it on and off. The idea is good. But it is simply too heavy. Since I only need this when I need to work on small stuff, like fixing electronics and tie fishing lures with lines, it does not need to be super light or comfortable to wear all day. But still, this is too heavy, and it is coming down while I wear it.... Since I chose +3.5, that is one factor that the lenses are quite thick. I probably need to look for much lighter ones.
