Works just like charger that came with our laptop!

Looked forever for the correct charger and this one is it for our gaming ASUS computer. We had model number A17-180P1A AC adapter from ASUS (ASUS computer FX705G). Works just like the charger that came with our laptop! Wonderful product.

Massive malfunction after a few months, almosr electrocuted me and could've destroyed my residence

I was using this charger fine for months, normal use with nothing crazy. Maybe at some point it started to wear from normal use, or it completely malfunctioned. Anyways, I go to pick my charger up to pack it in while it was still plugged in and there was a fountain of sparks and smoke with a loud electrical sound. Luckily it was not plugged into my laptop and my fingers were not on that location, but a few inches away, so I dropped it and unplugged it. The cables inside were touching causing a huge short circuit. I was inches away from getting electrocuted and seriously injured, and super lucky it happened when I was there because it could have easily caused a fire and burnt my place to the ground. Never write Amazon reviews but I couldn't not do so after this experience.
