Destiny: The Official Cookbook Review: Ignore bad reviews - This cookbook is what you make of it! - Bought this book for my Destiny-obsessed partner and was a little worried about the negative reviews; I cannot fathom how people got so upset over this book. The book assumes you are making many things from scratch just like you would if, you know, your whole city got attacked by Cabal and you had to rebuild from the ground up. There is even a recipe for making your own MARSHMALLOWS. As an avid housewife cook myself, I love the variety. Yes, some things are "common" dishes that many people already know how to make but there's usually some sort of twist that makes it more organic to Destiny lore. It's written from Eva Levante's perspective so it has adorable flavor texts for each recipe. The book is sectioned by "destination/time of year" rather than type of dish. The recipes are fairly unique in terms of style of cuisine, with every other destination being paired with an NPC or two whom one would associate with that destination and cuisine. For example, "EDZ: Trostland" has German and French based dishes like homemade Pretzels, Schnitzel, Potato Salad, Braised Red Cabbage and Apples, French Onion Soup, and a ham/gruyere sandwich based on Le Monarche. Le Monarche was the first recipe I made from the book and it turned out phenomenal; the recipe directed me to even make my own roux to form the sauce. The book itself is well-bound with a very sturdy hard cover with thick, glossy pages with the beautiful art of Destiny baked in (pun intended ;D). It also did include a code for the in-game emblem. Review: Great cookbook, great condition, arrived before anticipated 👍 - The item came in great condition- better than I even expected! It was packaged nicely and arrived before the anticipated delivery date. Great cookbook with many creative recipes that I can't wait to make. The author is amazing and her recipes have all worked out well in my experiences.

Great Recipe book with code
Amazing looking recipes and aren't overly complicated. If you think you are missing your code then look at the last page. Mine was loosely tapped on and worked great

Love destiny lore
Very descriptive, beautiful colors and seems easy to follow. I've yet to try any of the recipes, but is this a food review or item review?? ahha Love destiny theme stuff

Even Zavala would crack a smile at these recipes, Guardian
Not gonna lie, I bought this mainly for the aesthetic and because I love all things Destiny, but many of these recipes are FANTASTIC. The wife made the Taken Butter with me and we put it on EVERYTHING. SO GOOD. The quality is great, good high resolution pictures and extremely descriptive instructions. 10/10, would raid with these recipes.

Good Book, No Code
Like some others here, I enjoy the recipes and am a fan of the game. However, as an emblem junky myself, I am sorely disappointed by the fact that there is not a code in my book despite the big sticker on the front saying so. I'm also disappointed that there have been INVALID codes given. I would hope that this was resolved or can get resolved quickly.

Perfect DESTINY Cookbook, ignore naysayers!
This cookbook is amazing, and it is amazing for the world of Destiny. There are a lot of negative reviews, but they don't make sense when you consider what this book is supposed to be. Destiny is not Star Wars. The food isn't supposed to be alien and unrecognizable. Anyone who has played the game knows that ramen and holiday cookies are prevalent. The cookbook is written "by" Eva Levante from the tower. The food is what people in the Tower would actually be eating. It makes sense when you think about it, the tower food is very comforting, EDZ and expedition food is more like jerky and granola bars. Some of the recipes were contributed by Tower residents, like Amanda Holliday with fried chicken and cole slaw. The recipes are VERY technical and advanced. This is no little kids cookbook. Most recipes are very difficult. And they are all based on things the tower would actually have on hand. This book is basically 100% committed to being in-universe accurate. I highly recommend it for any real fan who wants an accurate, immersive experience.
