ClosetMaid Pantry Cabinet Cupboard with 2 Doors Adjustable Shelves, Standing, Storage for Kitchen, Laundry or Utility Room, Dark Cherry

Hi everybody. Am perplexed by some of the negative reviews and comments I am seeing here about this cabinet. We liked it so much, that we ordered a second one and placed them side by side. This size is very difficult, if not impossible to find! We needed a cabinet to organize some things we had stored in our entry way, such as bags of pet food, extra bottles of water, soda, seltzer, etc. that were in plain sight and looked just way too cluttered. The entry is not a large area at all and at 12.5 " deep, this was the ideal depth for us, as it contains all that we wanted to store in it with ease, and does not jut out too far, which would block the entry window, and also make exiting and entering more awkward. For this reason, the shorter height was also ideal for our purposes, as anything taller would simply "take over" the entry with respect to size. It's also nice to be able to neatly store a few things on top of it and have them easily within reach. It is easily sturdy enough for our purposes, and again, I am simply not understanding why people are complaining about this, as ours seems to be more than sufficiently sturdy to accommodate our needs.As for assembly, this really was not the nightmare which some reviewers are describing at all. Simply followed the directions, assembled the cabinet face down, (on the doors), and stood it up when finished. The only tools required were a hammer and a Phillps' screwdriver, NOT a power drill or power screwdriver as these are constructed out of particle board and that would be overkill and strip the screws! That simple. Regarding the gaps that some are describing, ours may have a VERY slight gap between the doors, but nothing worthy of noting or anything to complain about. Speaking of the doors, I would like to add that since, as mentioned, we were trying to work with a very small space, the double doors were a MUCH better option for us as opposed to the single door cabinets. Just another thing to bear in mind. We were concerned that these would take a beating during shipping and arrive in questionable shape, but this concern was unwarranted, since they arrived in great condition. All in all, we are very, very happy with these cabinets. No complaints at all.

My daughter put together in 90 minutes. I live in an apartment (small dining space). This fit the bill.A little wobbly since I didn’t want to attach to wall. Once all my food (can goods, cereal, boxed food, etc) was inside - not wobbly anymore!Very pleased!

I bought 4 of these to store art and craft supplies. They are pretty easy to put together and seem sturdy enough but every single one arrived with some sort of damage, mostly on the short edges near the corners. The way they have them packed for shipping it's not surprising. I know that are only $100 but if closet maid just spent $5 more the packaging their customers might get a nicer product

Just what I needed to use as a pantry in my small kitchen. Plain and simple. Just right!

First two pictures are just as I received it from UPS. Whether or not this was because of UPS during shipping or if box set in a warehouse looking like this, I don't know. But the box was pretty badly damaged. I had a slight mark on one of the corners of the side pieces, so not to bad. The back cover was creased pretty bad and does have a tear but I flipped it 180 degrees so it's on the bottom now.Now on to the cabinet itself.I was thoroughly disappointed at the fact that when I opened the parts packaging that I only found three hinges. These are not normal hinges either so you cannot just run to Home Depot and get a new set. Because of this I couldn't attach the doors... The attachment piece that's supposed to screw into the wall and into the top of the cabinet seems more like a part they decided to add last minute. There's no screw hole to mount it in on the top of the cabinet. Because it's particle board, when you use the small self tapping screw they provide you end up cracking the wood and the finish on top. Not to mention it's about eye level and not very pleasing to look at. I just through my bread on top and all is good. Also, they didn't provide a proper wall screw with plastic insert. So if by chance you were to have to much weigh on top the screw very well could just pull right now of drywall and then bye bye food/cabinet. Mine didn't sit level either.Because it's cheap particle board(glued together and compressed wood chips) I'm rating the sturdiness at a 3. Lean on it, to much weight or accidentally off set the screws in the wood and it will break.Overall, it's decent cabinet. Does everything that I needed it to do, well minus the doors that is...

I don’t recommend this product I bought it to store my stuff I use for my jewelry making and when my brother in law was finally able to put it together we found out that the backing was horribly made that the finish was peeling off and we had to tape it. Also we notice that the shelving holes are not leveled that it leans to the back and it is missing a whole or two on one side. I would never buy this item again

This storage pantry is excellent! It's a little smaller than we actually wanted, but it meets the requirements that we'll be using it for. It has a beautiful cherry oak finish. I wish it would've had a wood backing rather than paper. If you're looking for a medium storage pantry, with adjustable shelves, this product is perfect! The second pantry is without the shelves. I purchased two.
