This Is Sadie

I was first drawn to this book for the cover illustration. It sat in my Amazon cart for several months before I finally purchased it. I was pulled to finally purchase when I was looking through the saved items in my cart and realized the title shared my new baby's name. I ordered it without knowing whether the story would be worth it. I was pleasantly surprised to read a sweet book about a girl with a big imagination, something a lot of our young children's generation could use more of. My oldest daughter really enjoys this book, and so do I! Any book that can be entertaining and inspire my kids to do something (without a chord, plug, batteries, etc.) gets my vote. The illustrations on each page also didn't disappoint! I was also pleasantly surprised with a poster printed on the inside of the cover protector of the book. Your child can never have too many books, and this one definitely needs to be added to their collection.

I have a daughter named Sadie who loves foxes. When I saw this book, I knew I had to get it for her. We had fun reading this together and finding the fox that was hidden on almost every page.

My daughter saw herself in the character and loves this book. If your little one has a great imagination they will love it too. I appreciated that the character went beyond gender norms and saw herself as a boy or a wolf.

I ordered this book without high expectations because my Kindergartener is named Sadie and as an emergent reader I thought she would enjoy seeing her name in print. Little did I know how much she would identify with this book! On every page she exclaimed "Like me! This book is about me!" She especially loved the pages about how Sadie has wings, they are just very, very hard to see, and the one about how she likes stories, because you can make those out of nothing at all.We read this book eight times since it came in the mail yesterday afternoon! I think she would love it if it was about a turtle named Frank, rather than a girl that is her namesake. I highly reccomend this book!

5.5yo and almost 4yo sons enjoyed. Whimsical. Good theme.

I am a sucker for beautiful illustrations, and it's a double plus if the story is just as good! This board book encourages imaginative, solo play, and the pictures are superb. My favorite page is Sadie on her horse. I can just sit and stare at it! The book is so sweet that I don't want it to end; I want to keep following Sadie on her childhood journey

Super fun book about a little girl with a great imagination- we have added it to the nighttime routine

This is such a great book! I absolutely love reading this to my son and to my daughter it really opens up your imagination and makes your children think of things they can do when they are bored what's pretty much is all the time even though they have hundreds of different toys they are always bored especially in the summertime. I have no idea if this is your problem but in my household it's a major problem and this book has helped in that situation where my kids are starting to use their imagination and realize that you can do anything with a box or anything with Barbie sitting at a table and having a picnic whatever it is they are starting to do it thanks to this book and of course a few others but this was the first book that has definitely helped in that situation.

This is a beautiful book. Lovely images. No so much a story but rather about how a girl has used her imagination. I watched the read aloud on youtube prior.Unfortunately my book arrived used. The spine has been bent as if it were even stepped on or very used. The corner is all dented in. I will be contacting amazon.

"This is Sadie" is one of my Grand-daughter's favourites. It took her some time to warm up to it, but once she did she really enjoys it.

My 3 year old and I read this book all the time she absolutely loves it. Beautiful pictures and a nice story about reading books.

I love this book so much and the hardcover edition is beautiful.
