Quality USB 3 Hub.
I bought this for my new mini PC which has USB 3 ports, but not as many as a traditional desktop. This USB hub fills that void and does it well. Very well made, heavy construction so does keep flipping over when plugging in or unplugging devices. The high speed charging port works very well with my cell phone and charges in a fraction of the time than when I plug the phone directly into the computer. Speed of the USB ports is just as fast as the ports on the computer itself. Cord length of the AC adapter is adequate and I believe the fact that the adapter is 12 watts vs the 5 watt adapters found on most powered USB hubs provides plenty of power for devices such as external CD/DVD drives, scanners, etc. which make this device stand out from the crowd.

Almost perfect.
I've been using this hub for the better part of a year. I have had no issues with it. All of the devices I plug in work well. One nice feature is that if a data device is in use, the LED light flashes to indicate which ports are active. My only minor quibble is that the LED lights that indicate device status are on the opposite side of the port from the switch. This means that no matter how I physically arrange things, either the USB cables are blocking easy access to the switches, or they are blocking view of the LEDs. Besides that minor irritant, I'm very happy with the quality and extremely happy with the price.

Works great!
Works great with most of my astrophotography equipment as a temporary solution until I can purchase a much more expensive Pegasus Powerbox or Mini PC. It’s also small enough to attach to a tripod leg with Velcro. Only issue I’ve encountered was with my guide camera disconnecting (worked fine plugged directly into laptop though), so I’m not sure if it just didn’t have enough power or something? But I’ve got a Canon DSLR dummy battery and the telescope mount controller also plugged in and running simultaneously. Otherwise it’s working out great and I’m happy with it.

Good product, good value - QC might need tightening up though
MODIFIED REVIEW I liked it so I ordered another one. The second one had two switches that were defective in that you had to really mash down hard (almost punch them down) in order to get them to stay in the ON position; they toggled OFF normally however. That goes to lack of quality control at assembly and test. I could have returned it, but it was just not worth my time and I can mash the two ON/OFF switches as needed. If mashing them down was not a useful workaround the defect, then yes, back it would be going. Otherwise, it performed normally. Consequently I downrated it one star from five to four. ORIGINAL REVIEW I chose this product because I specifically wanted a vertical placement of the drives into the hub and the charging feature was an added benefit. The individual ON/OFF port switches are very handy for me; however the port LEDs are a bit anemic and with the placement on my desk, the task lighting makes the LEDs almost invisible. As an aside, I can't see the LEDs because I have positioned the hub with the charging port facing me, so even if the LEDs were acceptably bright, I would not be able to see them anyway. If I suspect a power problem to a port, I can just flip the hub sideways and look at the LED if need be. It is not an issue for me. I am using the hub on my XPS 8940 WIN-10 PC with no functional issues. It seems to perform as advertised; the price is very reasonable and hence the five stars.

Switches are so convenient. Powered 4 wireless controller dongles no problem
At first, I used this to plug in 4 wireless controllers to use with videogame emulators on my PC. It worked perfectly. Now it is a really convenient hub on my desk. The red charging port is actually powering another USB hub that I plugged the controller dongles into instead. The switches are nice because they allow me to completely turn off certain usb devices, So I plugged in my webcam, wireless headset dongle, usb microphone, and MIDI controller. This is massively convenient because turning off my headset dongle will switch the computer's playback device to my speakers immediately, instead of me having to change the setting. Same thing with the USB microphone. The webcam being able to switch off is just nice because of all the rumors of people being able to monitor your webcam if it is plugged in at all. Being able to switch off the MIDI controller is nice because it has a ton of really bright LEDs that I can't turn off while it is plugged in. It's just so convenient to not have to unplug annoying USB devices constantly.

Convenient USB power station
This is power strip comes with 7 ports - 3 of them are fast charging ports, and the other 4 are standard. The fast charging ports only work with fast charging cables, and otherwise function as regular speed USB ports. My fast charging cables typically have usb-c ends, so right now I'm using the fast charging ports as typical ports, but I'm glad to have that option if needed. It comes with a power cable, and a cable to attach the strip to a computer. This strip has no main power shut off. That's because you can choose which ports get power individually by turning them on and off. They have a handy light next to each (red or blue depending on the port) so you know which ones are getting power, saving you money on your electric bill. No complaints here!

wonderful device
works like charm but the following should be noted as per customer service: If you have external hard drive in one port, it needs to draw a relatively large amount of power to start up instantly, it may cause a little fluctuation to the existing ports that are already turned on, so it is recomend to connect the external hard drive first, then the other port small devices. in my case, if I don't follow above recommendations, then it causes my usb external touch pad device to stop working until I push button off and on.

Very happy with product.
My niece could only use two items at a time. I already have one of these so for her birthday she has one now too. They allow seven items plugged into a laptop or desktop through a single USB port. One port becomes seven. Two of them become 14 USB ports! Power up phone, tablet or link multiple external drives. It does have to be plugged in to the wall is the only limit for a laptop. Very happy with mine and my niece is very happy with her 21st birthday present.
