After reading all the reviews I was hesitant to order without first contacting the company. Albert responded and assured me if ANYTHING was wrong he would make it right. So I placed an order for the advertised 81 oz. size. Hey as a senior who needs to get the most bang for their buck every ounce counts. Well they came in a clearly labeled 5 lb. / 80 oz. size bag.I opened the bag and no funky smell, no off colors, no mold etc., sampled 4 Brazil nuts from 4 different sections of the bag. ALL were crunchy and tasted great. But why was it an 80 oz. bag when It was clearly advertised as 81? Contacted the company and Albert responded that it was a typo. Which he would correct by sending me out another 16 oz. bag to make it right. That's a company who treats the customer right. I can't dispute what others have said about freshness in the past, but right now in early 2020 I received a very fresh and tasty, 5 lb. bag of No Shell, Raw Brazil nuts from Sincerely Nuts.
