This charging station is cool but run hot and did not last. After 1.5 years it is dead and not charge anymore.

UPDATE Sep 2020: I absolutely loved this device and recommended it to all my fellow Volvo owners, but after almost two years of regular use, it no longer functions properly. It still charges, but the unit gets quite hot and in turn overheats any phone that sits on it. My phone (iPhone 11 Pro) will get very hot and stay hot even once I take it off the charger. It only cools down if I shut the phone down for a couple of minutes before turning back on. I thought it was just a problem with my phone at first, so I tried my work iPhone 8+ as well as my spouse’s iPhone 11 and Galaxy S21 and the same thing happens to all of them.tl;dr: Worked great for almost two years, but now overheats any device through the wireless charging. Will no longer use.This is a MUST have if you’re techy and have the current model XC60 and XC90. I’m not sure about fit in other models, but I’ve seen it fit into both of these models without any problems. Works exactly as expected and looks OEM.Some reviewers said they couldn’t close the console cover, but mine slides over without any problems. I most appreciate that you can turn the wireless charging off. The only con is I used the USB ports once, while using the wireless charging function, and the unit got very, very hot. The device I was using through the USB port actually stopped charging after about 10 minutes. However, I didn’t buy this for the USB ports, so it’s not an issue for me. If I need USB, I use the ports in the center console, and people in the back use the one below the A/C controls.

Only problem is USB ports are slow charging low power...so I won't be using them, just the wireless pad... Please make those USB c PD ports!!!!! Overall great wireless charger and still have use of cup holder as long as I don't have to charge my phone at the same time, but to be fair my phone works block that cup holder anyway, not a design fault of the charger

The reason I am going to return this product is because it is hard to get in and out of console. It does fit snug, it charges my phone and it does look sleek, but I need the option to remove it on occasion and you definitely can do that if you are driving, but it will come out of cig adapter, just takes a bit of wiggle and strength, but not too much because u don’t want to risk breaking it

Just installed it yesterday and already enjoying it. Fits perfectly on my 2019 xc90.The only thing that it ended up disabling is key sensor that when left would blink. I guess first cup holder has something to do with it since the key sign is in the middle cup holder and you'd think thats where the sensor is.

The product itself is sturdy and well built. Fits nicely in the ashtray area and looks like something that should have a Volvo emblem on it. The issue that I am having is that it seems to not actually charge my or my wife's phone. We can place it on the base, and it flicks on and off and tends to just make our phones really hot. i placed it on the charger for a two hour drive, and my phone gained 3%.

Fits great, easy to use, have had no technical issues. The only thing I’ve noticed is in summer it will overheat my phone. It’s not an issue in the other seasons when it’s much cooler, but I cannot use it in the heat of summer.

My phone gets too hot and I have to remove it b4 it is fully charged. Also, phone slips and then beeps to say it is not changing. It beeps a lot. My daughter's phone doesn't have the slipping problem tho.
