Wont get you a good grade on the shelf exam unless you use it with other resources and it is definitely full of mistakes, but a great set of supplement questions that really explain the concepts that you need for a deeper understanding.

Excellent Reinforcement
Excellent reinforcement of important concepts, use it along with first aid obgyn and usmle world questions and you should do great; I felt really well prepared for the obgyn shelf with these resources

Needs better reviewing
I am a 3rd yr med student, the folks this book is supposed to be written for. I bought it after i studied incredibly hard for the ob/gyn shelf and failed it. I thought this would be a good set of questions to go through after draining my question bank and all other resources available to me, but it hasn't quite lived up to expectations. They often mix up pathology from two different disease processes, have incorrect answers, and the answer choices in the questions will often have multiple correct answers that honestly can not be separated out by the information given, and often sadly fail to explain themselves in the explanation section. I also had several questions where what i had marked was right as far as the explanation went, however, the correct answer was something else. There's also several statistical questions that 1. you don't get taught about on the wards, and 2. are not on the shelf.....Basically it hasn't been the greatest book to instill any sense of confidence when attempting to retake a shelf exam that has a reputation as being not very friendly. I think you're better off spending some quality time with Case Files.

there are errors, even in the questions. good for review by someone who knows what they are doing and will not be swayed by an occasional inaccuracy. surprised because lange is usually spot on!
