Nostalgia HDT600AQ Pop Up Hot Dog Toaster, 2 Dog & Bun, Aqua

This is my second time buying this toaster and I absolutely love it! It will smoke the first time you use it and smell a bit weird but after that first use, you shouldn't have any problems with it. It perfectly toasts the buns (make sure to open them flat and push the insides flat against the plates so it toasts evenly and not just on the edges) and warms the hot dogs in under 5minutes. It's great for a quick lunch or dinner when I'm feeling lazy. My only complaint is that the tongs it comes with are really stiff and hard to use. I bought some silicon tongs to use instead since the buns and dogs are too hot to grab with my hands.It is relatively easy to clean just pull the tray and hotdog cage out the bottom and rinse in the sink! To get the crumbs out I just flip the toaster upside down over the trash and it's good as new!10/10 recommend!

For some reason, the weather where I'm at is still really cold and it honestly snowed yesterday!I was going to grill some hot dogs when I remembered that I bought this a little bit ago and had yet to try it out.It works like a charm. They are however right that it does smell like gross plastic smoke the first time I used it, but the hotdogs tasted amazing. I even love that they added a bun toaster too! I might just pick this instead of grill way more often from now on. It doesn't require set up and I get to have a nice toasted bun with it.Mmmm weenies.

1- yes, it doesn't completely toast the roll - but the edges get crisp and the roll is warm and I add a little butter to it. Also I squish them flatter to fit into the slots2-the hotdogs come out blackened - because I set the level to do that on purpose. I love them that way3-I am a widow and find that I am eating less and the first thing to go is protein. I love hotdogs, so in 5 minutes I can have my protein. Plus, it's awful to cook for one4-Bought one for my grandson and one for my friend. Great for a quick snack for grandson and my girlfriend loves hotdogs as much as I do.

Every year, I like to buy my sister and her husband something a little odd or quirky for Christmas, since we both get a kick out of it. This year, I sent them this for Christmas. When I asked them how they liked it, it turned out to be probably one of their favorite new items. My sister said it cooks everything perfectly and was super convenient for making a really quick lunch. It has, in her words, earned a permanent spot on their kitchen counter since her husband is using it constantly.

I ordered this and unfortunately had to send it back before ever trying it. I was super excited to give this to my boss as a gift but when the box arrived it was already opened. Given the nature of the product I wasn't comfortable with keeping it. I might try and order one down the road but I will probably stay away from this one. When I did take it out of the box, the plastic seemed thin and I would be worried about it melting.

Where has this been my whole life? LOL I love this little hot dog toaster. Actually my husband eats more hot dogs then I do and he was always over cooking them on the grill and burning my pans in the house..and I seen this and had to try it. One of the best things I have bought so far off Amazon. It works great..and husband uses it a lot. He is happy and I am happy. No more over cooked hot dogs. I highly recommend this hot dog toaster. You will love it also.

Great value. No pans to wash. Easy use. LOVED it so much I bought one for my cousin to use. Great to use for the grand kids. I love my frankfurter buns toasted. LOVE the color. I like the way the cord wraps around in a groove for storage.

Purchased this with feeling of a fun way to cook hotdogs and toast the buns.The hotdogs I used were a national brand (N***n's) and the thin version of their product.After 4 cycles of cooking hotdogs and 3 cycles of toasting the buns, well, epic fail. The center of the hotdogs were cool and the outside were cooked but still visually looked uncooked. The buns were finally toasted but the edges were black (burnt).yes, I read the instructions for use, and yes I have cooked hotdogs in the past and feel I have the skills that make me a fairly good individual to know when an appliance works and when it's going to be retired and/or thrown in the trash. I feel this product will be going into the second option.
