The Emerald Tablet of Hermes & The Kybalion
The five stars are for "The Emerald Tablet of Hermes" which is worth the purchase price alone although it is a mere 20 pages - it contains a wealth of information - not only within the text, but in evidencing how the same message can be altered from one group to another. As for the Kybalion, it's a thinly veiled introduction to the Kabbalah mysteries. Never trust a book that tells you that they possess knowledge "but you may not be told this" - translated "we don't know the answer either"! It is written in a difficult to read style, as if by someone not truly at home with English. As even the worst of books possess some glimmer of worth here or there, once you've bought it for the Emerald Tablet of Hermes, it's worth a scanning if you like, but it's not something I could recommend as the main reason to make the purchase. But, "The Emerald Tablet of Hermes" is! Yes, it's expensive for 20 pages - but worth it.

Yup this is a fiver.
I found this book to be written in a most humble manner that a thinking person will find useful and understandable. I was able to follow the explanations of Hermetic principles without getting lost. Perhaps because I have read the Kybalion. This book helped make sense of the sensibilities of of our human nature in a way that was very hopeful, and gave clear concise and directive momentum in how, a person could improve their mindset toward attaining an improvement of their personal wellbeing. I highlyrecommend this book for seekers of self understanding and a happier perspective of the why questions we all may want answers for.

Well written, well explained
This book has cleared up much as far as explaining certain question I have had. I found The Kybalion to be well written and well explained as to what is meant by the laws. I would highly recommend it to those interested in these types of studies as not only a foundational primer for future research but as beneficial to serious students on it's own. I wouldn't consider it completely comprehensive however but for the most part to a high degree find it's timeless information resourceful. There are but few iota's mentioned therein that are beyond the range of the book and the understanding of the authors but they are really very few in general. I do appreciate that the two books come together and complement one another well. Best.

Must read
Great take on the gaps between psychology and scientific applications of the mind. Read and read again, for that is how one becomes a master.

A Fine Compilation of Hermetic Philosophy
This book offers several translations of the Emerald Table, with historical contexts regarding when and where the translations were made, which proves very useful. The fact that a copy of the Kybalion is included is also exciting, as this work replaced my copy of the latter work as a stand-alone volume. The item came on time and in sufficient packaging to ensure safe arrival.

For anyone truly interested in the cosmic or hermetic principles -- an excellent read.
This was an Aha! moment book. I found I was reading things I had always believed... and that they go far, far back into ancient times. For anyone truly interested in the cosmic or hermetic principles -- an excellent read... but don't try to read it in one sitting. Take it in small doses - a chapter or two at a time and let the information percolate through you. It is for me Truth brought into the Aquarian age.
