This rope will get you sweating, big time. Handles have a great weight, and the rope itself adds a lot of weight through the turn. The rope will require some force to keep it moving and it makes for a wonderfully hard workout. Leather makes a perfect shape for jumping and I love using this rope. Double unders are a breeze because the leather makes a perfectly round loop under the feet even when changing up. A fun way to use this rope is to try to jump so that the rope itself never touches the ground. I heard that it is a boxing thing, and it is a really fun game to play with this jump rope.This rope has an adjustment that is a pretty heavy metal thing about six inches down from one handle. If you catch a foot or mess up a jump, this could potentially break your hand. I'm not even kidding, it carries the force of the whole rope and it will snap like a whip onto the top of your hand, the metal adjustment hitting perfectly on top of the hand, which is a very vulnerable area. I still love this jump rope, But I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner.The handles are a smooth texture and they slip easily with sweat. Cotton tape is a great thing to wrap the handles in for better grip. Bike handlebar tape if you like softer grips works too.

Excellent jump rope, except for one major (IMO) flaw. First the excellent: I love the feel of the wood handles, reminds me of the old ones Everlast used to make. The weighted option of the handles is great, I personally like it with the weights in. The leather is top quality and rotates perfectly. It is not a super speed rope but is good for what it is intended for. As for the flaw: why would you put that metal bracket on the rope? It might be in a position so as not to touch the ground, but it is in the perfect position to bang up against the wrist bone when you trip up a bit. Maybe it's just me but that metal edge of the bracket finds the outside of my wrist bone far too often. The length as it comes is basically a standard length such that many people won't even need to adjust to begin with, making that bracket a waste. Why not just do what other manufacturers do and make it adjustable from within the handle or just make different sizes to begin with and let people order the size they need. This is otherwise potentially the best rope in its class I've tried, but that bracket is a poor design. I also find it hard to believe that two cut ends bracketed together a quarter of the way down by a somewhat heavy bracket do not disrupt the flow. It's going back.

Great product, But.....it appears that the jump rope I received was used by someone (probably on concrete) and returned. I received it yesterday and it appears to be cracked and worn in several spots on the middle of the rope. But I thought well it's a jump rope it is probably just the way they come.I used the rope only once for twenty minutes at the gym inside on a hardwood floor area and now the middle of the rope looks like it will be a completely worn through in about a month of use. Needless to say that I'm very disappointed, more so with Amazon because it looks they sold me a very used product as NEW!The product itself worked really well and looks like a million bucks except for the worn spots.Would love this rope in brand new condition,In true Amazon form they replaced the rope with a brand new one that actually looked brand new and has been wonderful to use.The product is truly five star and makes for tangle free jump roping versus the wire and plastic tube products out there. And for the price its a winning. Have used it now for about two months and it still looks brand new. I've treated it with mink oil a few times prior to using it for the first time. For the price it is very high quality.

This is definitely worth the money! I purchased a few cable style jump ropes and was seeing why they are so cheap. I went to this leather rope and was extremely satisfied the first time I used it. I can jump as fast as I wish with it without it snagging. It's much easier to control and has been very durable.The quality is right here as well. The wooden handles are pretty durable as I have dropped them in the middle of jumping and they hold up fine. The leather is holding up very well too, as I jump most days as part of a daily workout, and I have been using it for couple months now without wear.To Shorten the rope, I ended up taking the cap off the handle, pulling the leather through the bearing, re-clipping it shorter, and cutting the extra off. The union clamp they give you is not worth using as it creates an unbalanced rope when you are done.Definitely buy it if you're interested in a quality leather jump rope!

I read the comments about the version of this rope where you had to piece the rope together with a metal bracket. Thankfully this is no longer the case. The rope is sized and maintained inside the handle with a solid stop as expected. Beautiful rope! I've been using leather ropes since my start as an amateur boxer. The current unweighted rope I use I purchased in 1998 (still nothing wrong with it). Leather is the best and this is the top of the line leather rope I always wanted. Its beautiful and worth it. This will add variety to my routine as the handles are weighted and the weights can be removed. Exceptional!

l'impatto visivo è sbalorditivo: quando apri il pacco trovi questa corda STUPENDA in vero legno trattato e con il bellissimo logo della golden INCISO sopra che le dona quel tocco in più! Il cuoio ha una qualità nettamente migliore di moltissime altre corde che si trovano in commercio ed è più grande di diametro e quindi penso che sia molto più resistente all'usura del tempo e più che altro all'attrito dovuto al ripetuto impatto col suolo a velocità durante gli esercizi. Inoltre la corda ha una buona mobilità rotazionale dovuta al tipo di vincolo con cui è tenuta insieme ai manici, che sono dotati di pesetti in metallo posizionato sul fondo dei suddetti e che si possono togliere semplicemente svitandoli.Le mie impressioni personali sono buone riguardo alla qualità, al design e all'affidabilità del prodotto; anche se non ne faccio un uso intensivo, ma solo come riscaldamento prima di allenarmi o quando faccio cardio, poi ancora mi devo abituare al peso maggiorato rispetto ad altre corde e quindi ancora le accuso un po'...unica pecca , per la quale non ho dato 5 stelle, è il sistema di regolazione della corda che secondo me è opinabile: in effetti questo sistema non permette una "flessibilità" nella regolazione perché essa comporta il taglio della corda e la successiva unione degli estremi tagliati (una volta asportato il pezzo in più rispetto alla nostra lunghezza ideale) tramite una sorta di collettore in metallo che tiene i due estremi con due viti. Ora questo sistema non solo non permette di regolare in seguito la corda su un'altra misura maggiore della precedente, ma crea anche disomogeneità nella corda stessa e quindi se il taglio si effettua non nella metà precisa della corda stessa si viene a creare una asimmetria nella distribuzione del peso del cavo di cuoio che durante la rotazione può avere più inerzia da una parte; d'altro canto. se il taglio si effettua nel centro preciso del cavo, i salti e la rotazione della corda si avrà sì una corretta distribuzione del peso del cavo, ma si avrà il collettore di metallo situato nella parte che ovviamente toccherà il suolo più facilmente, poiché la più in basso, e questo comporterà una notevole usura della parte in acciaio che "gratta" sul pavimento per l'attrito. Pensate che a me su determinato tipi di pavimentazione durante le serie di spati quando il collettore di metallo struscia fa anche le scintille!ahahah...per fortuna che potendo tagliare un altro piccolo pezzetto di corda ho potuto spostare di poco il collettore dal centro preciso...

Aún siendo cara, no deja de ser una cuerda de saltar, la compré porque absolutamente TODAS las cuerdas que he tenido se me han roto al ir rozando contra el suelo o me he cargado las agarraderas, etc...Es muy fácil de ajustar: mides, cortas y vuelves a enganchar con la llavecita que trae. Temía que quedara un poco suelta, después de volver a "unir", pero nada que ver... Podéis tirar para ver si está sujeta o no, porque no se mueve nada de la empuñadura.Le he dado mucho uso, porque hace bastante tiempo que la compré... Ahora mismo no sé si me gastaría tanto en un simple cuerda, pero está exactamente igual que el primer día. Así que ha sido una buen inversión, teniendo en cuenta mi historial destrozando otras.

Ricercando tra i prodotti amazon mi son imbattuto casualmente in questa corda e fu amore a prima vista. Dovevo assolutamente acquistarla! Essendo abbastanza preciso su ciò che acquisto, ho dapprima fatto delle prove con altre corde (con anima metallica, in tessuto, in plastica, in gomma) per approcciarmi, successivamente all'acquisto di quest'ultima. Tra recensioni positive e l'ottima presenza del prodotto esposto, l'ho presa. Arrivata puntuale, la corda è contenuta all'interno di un sacchetto di plastica con le relative istruzioni. Manca solamente la chiave a brugola che serve per svitare la placca in metallo che riveste la corda e, di conseguenza, non potrò allungarla o accorciarla. Per fortuna è adatta a me già con la lunghezza con la quale mi è stata spedita (sono alto 1,73 cm) ma, questo è proprio il motivo per il quale do una stella in meno al prodotto. Del resto, beh, le mie aspettative erano e continuano ad essere fondate. Splendida corda, elegante e pesante. 220 grammi di peso per ogni manico rendono l'esercizio fisico abbastanza intenso. I manici, in legno lucidato, sono splendidi e ben fatti. Sembra quasi un peccato utilizzarla!!! Il profumo (per me profumo, per molti puzza) di cuoio è forte e, pertanto, il materiale con il quale è stata fatta è originale e pregiato. La corda ha un diametro notevole, ben diverso dalle altre ma gira che è una bellezza. Non adatta a tutti, specie ai principianti, data la pesantezza dei manici che rendono l'esercizio più complesso. Ottima per qualsiasi tipo di salto. Dopo soli 10 minuti di workout, gli avambracci esplodono e la soddisfazione è tanta. Molti penseranno che il prezzo è alto, giusto, anche io lo pensavo... ma quando arriverà a casa, quando la utilizzerete, quando la ammirerete, beh, allora capirete il perché. :)))
