Great Blu-ray player for my Mac. Works well and is quiet. Very nice design with a rubberised texture. Much nicer than the cheaper ones available. Also works in standing position which is very useful.

The drive works well on both mac and windows without any additional drivers needed. Used it primarily with an additional software to rip my movie collection to .mkv and its a great companion for that since its reads all the necessary data.

Lovely looking and clearly very well made. Uses USB C cables which is great and much more modern than the previous cables external drives used to use (same as external hard drives). The biggest concern is that despite saying it’s compatible with Apple OS, it’s actually not. That is, the 4K playback - the very point of owning the drive (rather than purchasing a cheaper Blu-ray HD drive) - does not work. I believe this used to work until a firmware update which comes installed on the drive, now prevents it from playing 4K discs. Blu-ray HD and DVD, audio etc. all work fine. But my advice is to steer clear of this if you use Apple OS and want to play 4K discs.

I went with pioneer because they are a good brand and so far product seems fine. it can be a bit finicky to get the disc in feels like something might break, but once in, it is quick, quiet and does the job. it is quite expensive for what it is. I'm using with Mac computer - the software it comes with is not compatible, which is annoying. Get a software for mac, Pioneer!

Nice drive and fine for watching movies but doesn't work with MakeMkv. Can't downgrade Firmware.

Haven’t used it much but I just plug it into my Mac and it works great, no need for any extra setup. The matte black finish is awesome too, is a very pretty little drive.

Ottimo lettore Blu-ray, infatti riproduce tutti Blu-ray standard e i DVD, i 4K UHD per PC rimane sempre un incognita riprodurli con PC nonostante il mio PC sia di ultima generazione e pagato 5000 Euro. In conclusione ottima estetica maneggevole e molto pratico, il prezzo è un pò caro ma sono soldi spesi bene perchè ne vale fino all'ultimo centesimo. Spero solo che duri nel tempo!

ce graveur est un très bon produit mais attention pour la lecture des blu-ray uhd il est inopérant avec intel a partir de la génération 11

After searching for a very long time for a blu-ray reader/burner for my Mac, I settled on this little device. With this type of product, something Apple doesn’t support you have to take a risk and although the reviews on Amazon were mostly good, you just don’t know how it will work out for you! Well, after using this for a month or so, I can happily say it’s exactly what I was after. It comes with USB C cables and and software although the software is only for Windows - yet it works perfectly with Roxio’s Toast software, which I bought separately. It’s quiet, sleek looking and very portable. So far I have had no issue burning or reading disks. It’s also UltraHD 4K compatible and at this price point I can wholeheartedly recommend this to other Mac users. Thank you Pioneer.

Sehr gute Verarbeitung. Das Gehäuse ist sehr schön und die Oberfläche fühlt sich soft an, obwohl es optisch sehr Edel aussieht als ob es Metall wäre. Gefällt mir sehr gut! Zum DVD und BD brennen verwendet auf nem Surface Pro 6 i7 und mit Windows Brenn Software keine Probleme festgestellt. Schnell im Brennvorgang gewesen und SlotIn Auswurf durch den Knopf hat super funktioniert. Laufwerk wurde beim Anschluss über USB TypC direkt erkannt am Surface Dock 2. UHD BD noch nicht getestet, aber wird noch folgen. Empfehle ich gerne weiter.
