Therapeutic Exercise: Foundations and Techniques, 6th Edition

This book has a wealth of information on various exercises and modifications to exercises that are useful to PT's, PTA's or even personal trainers. I especially love the fact that it is divided into the different body parts and then further into the various muscle groups within the larger parts. It offers great information on the contraindicated movements based on types of injuries, surgeries, etc and that makes it a helpful tool for working with patients and clients alike.

If you’re going to save one or two books from physical school like I did, make this one of them. Great book.

This book was required for my PTA class. Luckily it’s clear and easy to read. It provided some additional images and information about the topics we discussed in class. It arrived in excellent condition.

Therapeutic Exercise is extremely well organized by Body System. Each chapter provides a well summarized review of related Anatomy linked to how structures work in movement patterns. Then it tops it all off with excellent detailed clinician oriented exercises geared to optimal rehab. from injury. Well worth your investment!

This edition was more user friendly than the 5th edition. I like the colored pictures and better lists of indications and contraindications. Studying is a little easier on me with this edition.

Well written, well organized, and comprehensive. This book covers everything from the physiology of various tissues to detailed descriptions of countless exercises. It's a textbook, but I'll continue to use it as a reference for a long time.

I have been a PT for 40 yrs. - a must have book for those who have practicing a while and have those rare "odd" diagnosis patients where you don't know really what to do, or don't have time to look up EBP or the description of the disease itself. Thank-you, I am ordering 2, one at home and for the clinic!!!

I used this book throughout my physical therapy program. It was a required book and it has many good examples of therex and it is well written. I am actually looking to sell this book.

As a student in an Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant program, I found this textbook EXTREMELY helpful for my PT focused courses. I've read in other reviews that this edition is missing important chapter(s), but I can say for certain that it didn't affect the usefulness of the information that was presented in this edition. While it would have been nice to have that extra information, I think that would have made the textbook even bigger & heavier than it already is. Haha. I plan on keeping this textbook as I find it an invaluable tool to my studies, and future career. Such a great resource for physiotherapy!
