Tested accuracy against my balance beam scale and this one is right on.

Update (2017-06-03): It seems that when I move the scale, that increases irregularity in measurements. If I'm careful to not move the scale across the floor, even a little, it's much more reliable -- or at least self-consistent, getting the same measurement down to the decimal place if I step off and back on again, even several times. Upgrading my rating to 4 stars, though do still be aware that the below issues can apply if you move the scale around.I'm glad I got this (I've been using it daily for a few weeks now). That said, it has some issues. First and foremost, I find it to be more highly sensitive than I would expect on how you stand on the scale. For example, I can get different readings* within seconds of each other if I stand with my toes against the front, or my heels against the back. And then even shifting just a little bit (hard to avoid), it'll fluctuate a lot before getting a lock -- and if it can't lock within a certain period of time, it turns itself off, and you can't turn it back on for something like 20 to 45 seconds (it seems to vary). It also locks up like this sometimes after a successful reading.That said, I'm a big guy, and most scales won't weigh me. This one will, at least if I futz with it a bit, and try a few times. So, I'm glad I got it, and would recommend it for anyone who wants an option and doesn't see another one that fits them. It would have to be much more stable, and quicker to reset, to get more stars from me, though.* I've gotten over a kilogram difference with some small shifting in the scale position, which may not be fair. That said, I've also had cases where stepping a little different I couldn't get a lock, but the numbers were hovering close to a point that was over 15kg (33 lbs) difference!! That's a big margin of error, it seems to me.

put in batteries that were sent to me and they were dead, put in new batteries seems to work okay .

Looks great, accurate, easy to read, and a nice size for plus size people.

A very accurate scale!

I ordered a different scale which arrived defective, got a refund from Amazon and immediately ordered this Taylor scale. Arrived in one day and works perfectly. Published 250kg (500#) capacity, I started at 420# which matched my doctor's scale. Sturdy scale, backlit display easy to read, it holds the reading for a few seconds after stepping off.

This is the first scale I have found that actually can weigh over 400 lbs. exactly as advertised, works great months later.
