Brilliant
I’m self this to cut 3 holes through brickwork. Worked really well and looks like there’s loads of life left in it.

Does what it says
I have an old house with thick stone walls, and needed to run an additional hole through the wall for a sink drain. I was prepared for much angst, but was pleasantly surprised.I ran a pilot hole through the wall first, but actually I later realised this was pointless - the drill for the pilot hole was so thin (To match the center drill size of this) that it bend on the way through, so nothing like a straight line.It didn't actually matter though - as others have said, despite tightening the retaining screw for the center drill, it worked lose in no time, and at some point the retaining nut made a bid for freedom and has never been seen since. It is only really needed for getting started though - once into the hole it guides itself. It took me about on hour of drilling - old costwold stone, so very hard. I tried with / without water spray, and with / without hammer action. In fairness none made much difference to the cutting, but I do think the water helped reduce wear on the bit and stop it overheating. Best bet is to accept it's going to take a while - don't run the drill on max speed - slow and steady wins the race.I also stopped every couple of cm to break away the core and clear the hole of debris. Overall, whilst the retaining bolt needs work, I can't complain. hole drilled, way cheaper than getting someone in, and the bit lives on to see another day should I ever need it again....

Hot knife through butter..
I needed to cut a hole in a patio, for the support-pole of a rotating washing line. Though the slabs were soft enough to cut with a regular Diamond Core Drill Bit, the slabs were laid over a thick concrete foundation extending from the house.Even attached to my regular non-SDS electric drill, this bit cut straight through the concrete, like the proverbial 'hot knife through butter.'Excellent function and value. - - -Bought at £17.99, with free Prime delivery.Item was delivered on-time, as-described, and suitably packaged.

Does what it needs too 👍
For the price you really can't go wrong. Don't rush it and it will cut through. Used on hard red brick and kept all its cutting teeth. Pilot bit retaining screw is a bit naff but that's not a major problem.

Good for the money
Only needed it for 2Holes, did the job fine, had to replace the bolt with a higher tensile one but still held up fine, accuracy through a wall with a cavity in middle is always down to the driller, a bit harder with this been short but with a bit of attention payed to job can still be done wellif your not too accurate with a drill then spend the extra and get the longer more expensive diamond ones but for me and for the money this was spot on

It went through easily and survived to use another day.
For a cheap tool I wasn't expecting much but it got through very easy. Be warned that you should NOT use the hammer action. I had to drill into my brick garage from just above the DPC at a slight upwards angle and it did it easily. I had to stop twice to remove broken brick from the core and also some cement but otherwise it didn't take very long. Just be patient and don't push hard as you don't need to. Unlike some other tools this one lived to use another day.....though I can't see myself needing to do another one very soon.

Good value for money product
Bought the drill for going through a thick concrete floor slab. The drill did the job with no obvious wear and tear to the drill's hardened teeth. Bored the hole pretty qick too. The only reason it hasn't got five stars is that the screw that holds the pilot drill in place constantly vibrated loose which was a bit annoying. However, once the main drill has bedded into what you are drilling through the pilot drill can be removed, so not a big problem.Would I still buy another one? Yes, definitely. And it arrived super quick too.
