Good basic overview
This is ideal for a non-risk manager to use as a reference when confronted with insurance questions. It will be much too basic, I'm sure, for an insurance expert. But as a contracts person who frequently has to make insurance decisions I'm not qualified to make, this book is gold. After one loaned out copy disappeared, I bought a second copy.

Perfect “101” foundation book
This book is EXACTLY what I needed. It provides an easy to follow breakdown of the terms and concepts across policy types, risk and regulation that is perfect for establishing your “101” frame of knowledge. Wish that there were more books on the market like this across industries!!

Good starter
Being a person from IT insurance is a maze to me. Just wanted to have some basic concepts, and I am happy with it. wish there were some mathematical modeling though

Great Material for studying
I seriously wish I had this book before I had started studying for my license. I absolutely hated the material that the state provided. This book actually explained and simplified the complicated jargon from the study material!

Great book that details the key concepts and coverage of Insurance sectors. If you are looking for a book that provides an overview then this is very good.

Very useful as a primer
Less than 3 hr read but gives very good intro to insurance industry for new comers. A good base to form before moving on to advanced books

Not relevant for UK readers
This is an American book and a very succinct introduction to the terminology used in the insurance market in the US. Nothing that you wouldn't be able to find with more depth, detail and relevant geographic information over the web.
