Get Started in Government Contractiong
This book had everything I needed to get started in Government Contracting. I was able to register and begin my publishing business almost immediately. Now I supply books for other government contractors. Peavey and Alston do a great job to help new defense contractors set up operations and compete for government contracts. Great reference; well organized.
This is what I do for a job and yet, this book is still helpful as a reference checklist.

Impressed with book and author
I was very impressed with the book and the author. First the book, the book is very detailed when it comes to understanding the government contracting process. I am glad to see tax payer dollars at work when it comes to the digital government.I would suggest using something like Evernote to keep track of all of the websites you will use and need. Now, on to why I was impressed with Mr.Parvey. I had some questions that I needed some answers. I had emailed the author and in a very short time I got a return email from Mr.Parvey. Also, the answers were to the point and very helpful.I love it when someone has traveled where you are traveling tells you how to travel.Farrell

No contracts yet
This book does have a lot of useful info. I do rate it over 3 ... just under 4. You can find much of the same info on line. More examples would be useful ... perhaps expand on the limited info provided.

Out-Of-Date
This book has some helpful items in it but most of the links do not work.

Pretty good for the price
Has some pretty good basic information but is obviously a little dated as it referenced ORCA and CCR which were replaced by SAM in 2011. Seems like it would be helpful for anyone interested in IDIQ contracts. It's a pretty easy read and not very long or expensive.
