Lost star for stink
The quality is exceptional. It was so easy to put together. The only bad thing was the smell. It was in our living room in the shipping box while we installed hardwood flooring in our bedroom. I kept smelling something horrible. I even gave the dogs a bath thinking they rolled on a dead animal. When we were ready to assemble, we opened the box and immediately figured out what the faint scent was because now it filled the bedroom and was no longer faint in the least. We primed and painted the door and the smell did go away. I love the door. I just can’t help but wonder where the door was manufactured to have such a horrible smell. Every now and then we still catch a whiff of that dead animal smell.

Loving my new door!!!
LOVE THIS! Just assembled the door the other day, and installed it today! Building the door wasn’t too bad. The only problem I had was trying to figure out how far the first slat went into the groove. It didn’t get in smooth so I wasn’t sure if it need to go further or not. The answer after I finished the other slats was YES, it need to go all the way in so everything is even.Installing the door was a little tricky for me. I could not figure out how high or how low the sliders should go on the door. I know that I needed 1/2 inch off the floor so it could glide, so I finally figured out to put a 1/2 in piece of wood for the door to rest on. Once I did that, I was able to hang the slider on the rail and use it as a template to mark my holes. Thank goodness I didn’t have to make extra holes. Overall it took some time, but very happy with the outcome!!!

Love this door!!
Love this door. Careful on the installation....use 2 people because when I was installing the final side piece, I had the door “racked”, and couldn’t get the dowels to fit. So thinking they did something wrong, I removed the dowels, forced the piece on, and depended on the long screws to secure. It wotked fine, and is still strong as I added glue, but my door ended up a little out of square. Once realized I fixed my problem. Otherwise it is a sturdy nice looking door.

well made, good materials, ready for easy assembly.
Thick, sturdy, well done door kit. Easy assembly and a perfect fit for what we needed. Now our downstairs feels like an apartment. The door keeps the hallway noise down so we can down out our raucous boys. Now we just need to stain it... And paint out hallway (it never ends).

Steer clear unless you gave proper tools to correct!
Would not buy again. Instructions indicate 20 minutes to build. Our door came with too many of some pieces and not enough of others. The pegs and holes weren’t aligned and those areas need gauged out. Thankfully my husband has the tools to cut the incorrect pieces to make it work. The finished shipped product was poor and would have had to be returned had we not been able to correct it. After having to reconstruct some of the pieces it was completed in 1.5 hours - a far cry from their 20 minutes. Had the pieces been correct and correctly constructed it probably would only take 20 minutes. I would not recommend this door!

Ease of installation
The installation of the doors was easy but I wish I had read that the hanger hardware was not included and the doors were not pre-drilled for hardware installation.

Lighter and sturdier than expected.
Takes a little bit of craftiness to piece together properly, but a great product. We stained the boards before piecing them together and it looks great! Lighter than most barn doors, but still sturdy enough that we have had no problems in 8 months of having it up.

Barn door
Door looks good. The directions were inaccurate on where to drill the holes so the door needed to be trimmed a 1/4" off the bottom.
