This is for a Dell XPS 15 9560. The battery worked well when installed, & installation is easy if you're patient and careful - there are lots of screws. When the laptop cover is removed, photograph it for later reference, and clean dust out of the fans (a vacuum cleaner worked well). I had to modify the battery to fit, though. It's a narrow long battery, and the screw holes on the far end (far from the connector) and the two central holes did not line up with the threaded holes in the laptop. The battery was just a little too short. The error was only about 0.5 mm (.020") so I used a small rasp to file/make the holes larger. This is a common issue with long parts, and it could easily be fixed by the mfgr, by making the holes in the tabs either larger or oblong slots. I bought this battery because the OEM only marketed 3-cell replacements for this model. An OEM rep gave me a part number for a 6 cell replacement, but I thought that part number would not fit. Only 4.5 stars because I had to enlarge the holes.

Just installed so I have no idea how long it will last. My original laptop battery was total junk and my laptop always had to be plugged in. Then it just died and would t come on, even plugged in. New battery, it works again. I’ll never buy a Dell again but thankful I’m not having to replace the laptop quite yet.

The battery arrived very quickly (1 day). The provided instructions were not applicable to my HP laptop, but if you know how to open an HP, the battery is easily replaced. This battery was a perfect fit. The PC recognized the battery, and started right up. So for now, I'm completely satisfied. I'll update the review if some problem crops up. But since my original HP battery wouldn't hod a charge (or charge beyond ~ 50%), this is a great improvement.

So far so good. We'll see about longevity. In general I have not been impressed by the quality of "genuine" HP parts. My hard disk started failing slowly (according to the SMART data) after 5 years, the fan started making a horrible racket after only a few months, and the original battery failed after a few years. Considering my old Toshiba laptop battery lasted over a decade and only slowly lost capacity, this sucked. And my toshiba laptop from 2012 is still going strong on its second hd. All I know is this Chinese HP battery replacement worked right away, and it shows a battery health of 100%. I cycled it once down to about 40% and it gave a few hours of life under regular web browsing and app activity. I have not tested how long it lasts under video load. I feel sure it cannot do worse than the battery the laptop came with originally. The only good thing I can say about HP laptop design is it is easy to get inside the case (once you lift up those rubber feet-bars to access the screws) and the battery is secured by only 2-3 screws. So easy to replace. But God help you if you need the adaptor board to change from a mechanical drive to a NVMe. That interface board is not available ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, for any price. But HP still has battery, fan, RAM, SATA drives if you need them.

Packaged well and came next day. No issues installing and computer did not give an error not compatible. Charges well and lasts up to 4 - 5 hours. Let's see how long it lasts. First time buying a non-HP battery. Great price if it continues to work this way. 10 days in and no issues.
