Mother decided to learn German. She is doing great and this book is helping. Why? I don't actually know. She learned French last time.Book arrived in perfect condition.

Great book to refresh my college German as I use it with Duolingo. I have also enjoyed the Spanish version of this series.

These step-by-step books are great! I have the two from my study of Spanish, and this one for German is very good. In some ways it's better than the one for Spanish. Different authors but same learning format. I recommend it.

I used this exact series of books when I was beginning French and found it amazing. The German version is just as helpful!

Not my cup of tea. I had German in high school and college and managed to pick up a bit. I thought I’d brush up and fill in gaps. This book may work for some people, but not for me. The approach is not systematic enough and seems all over the map to me. Like things are not together. Exercises ask you to fill in « any der word » so how can you see if they are right? One of my huge problems with German is gender. I need something more structured, as I am not a good language learner.
