Incredible value
If you want to buy an anvil, even a decent used one they start at $4/pound and often require some work. This one was under $3/pound delivered. Quality was better than I expected. There was no rust. The face was flat and even and hardened to about Rockwell 56 according to file tests. Tapping it revealed no voids or dead spots. the only changes I made were radiusing part of the far edge and the edges of the hardie hole, standard with any new anvil. My only complaint is the pritchel hole which would be more useful flush with the face. But that is a mInor for the value.

Great for the price.
For the price, I do not think I can beat it. For the cons: To point out the obvious, the pritchel hole is oddly placed, it seems they did that for their convenience. But this is obvious in the picture so I can't hold it against them too much. The hole placement also made it easier to bolt down to my anvil stand. The hardy hole on mine was not exact in its size, but close enough. The pros: After grinding down the edges on this things, I have been using it basically every day, and it has held up well. No obvious chipping or marring. I have not owned an anvil previously, but I would buy this again.

Good entry level anvil.
I have had the anvil for a while now. I have only recently been messing around with the idea of knife making and hammering out steel. I have hammered out 80crv2 as well as 1095 flat bar stock. I think that it is a well(ish) made anvil especially considering the price and the fact that you can have it delivered to your front door. I have noticed that the edges are a little soft and have taken a few gouges when using the edge to hammer in cuts to the steel or hammering in the point etc.. The face of it has remained fairly smooth with only a few dents here and there. Considering I am not the most accurate with my hammer swings and was definitely swinging harder than necessary at first, it has held up pretty well. It has taken some full on hammer blows from a 2 1/2 pound hammer. On that note, the bounce back is pretty good.. I think it is perfect for beginner like myself. Especially if you find it on sale. I am not sure how consistent the manufacturing is, but this is what I can say about the one I received.

Price is right
Good weight, good ring, good size. No cutting step and the "hardy hole", if you can call it that, is just plain weird. But it is an anvil...and for the beginner, is an excellent value. It is cast, not forged, so expect some patched defects. Nature.of the beast. Rebound is ok. Definitely not the hardest steel around though.

Very nice 60kg anvil!
I originally ordered this item from Vevor (Sanven Technologies), who shipped it via FedEx. The lazy FedEx driver refused to deliver it, repeatedly โreturning to terminal for inspectionโ. Finally they refunded my money and had it shipped back. So then I bought the same item from Amazon (same price), and it was delivered BEFORE the promised date via UPS, and the UPS driver did not even have to be told to take it to the garage, not leave it on porch. Awesome! And the 132 lb anvil is very nice, well over 70% rebound.

Exactly as expected
The reviews on this were very hit or miss, with more hits than misses. I must have gotten a better one than some of the poor reviews. The anvil is as advertised. It has a perfect surface to work on, but the rest is clearly cast and has the imperfections to show for it. Inside the Hardy hole you can see it is kind of an afterthought when this was made. It looks like it was originally a circle, and then turned into a square. Dimensions are as described however, and it is almost a square. But again, after reading the reviews, you know what to expect. I will need to file down a blob of steel in the Hardy hole, but other than that, everything is ready to use. I don't mind the blue paint, and will decide whether or not I need to perfect the surface of the horn. It has very small raised bumps on it from the mold that look and feel like letters written in braille. They are spaced out around the entire horn, but I can't imagine at the stage I am in, having to worry about them being any more than a minute amount of sanding on the belt. For the money, and that is the trick, for the money, I couldn't be happier. I was able to buy everything else I needed to start making knives, for the difference of what a finer anvil would have cost. And at this point in my journey, I don't need a finer anvil. This one is probably more than I need as it is. And there is the value. Very happy with it.

Most bang for buck
Withstood entire day of hard forging on edge with no defects. Weighed 136lb on scale. Filed edge more rounded so work edge better. Nice ring but chain makes quiet. Another company had $30 cheaper, company refunded difference, amazing. Solid performing anvil, highly recommend for the price. Spark test showed high carbon steel. You like!

Good crude anvil
Good, cheap, cast steel anvil. Surface is sort of hard. The casting is crude but can be tuned up with a grinder. FYI my hardy hole is approximately 1 1/2โ at the face and narrows crudely as you go down. Iโll work on cleaning that up someday

Excellent ALO. Performed very well in the bounce test. This is the second one we bought. Both are pretty good and do the job.

This is a nice and ideal anvil for knife making it is flat on the top and heavy enough to provide a great base for forging steel There was two casting flaws one on the side of the face and one on the foot under the triangular horn but nothing serious I have forged several knives so far and the face has held up Shipping was very fast and it came in undamaged in a wooden box

Good anvil but my model is different than the one pictured. My horn is mounted higher up so the pritchel hole is level which is great but it has no mounting holes in the base, which is not great. Shipping was fast.

I it was perfect!! The price was AMAZING!! No sharp edges. The only thing was I felt sorry for the UPS driver who said the crate identifies it as 65LBS. ๐ HE WAS SOON SET STRAIGHT ( great sport ๐ค๐ค๐ป )

I modified the anvil with some welding to bring the pritchel hole up to the same height as the top surface, lined the hardie to make it square and gave it some light dressing on the edges and a black paint job. Casting is a bit rough, rebound around 65% (so good) and light surface damage during my early unskilled blows. Would recommend.
