Da wir in unserem Haushalt nach Möglichkeit auf den Einsatz von Kunststoffen verzichten wollen, haben wir nach einer Alternative gesucht, Trinkwasser ohne Glasflaschen Schleppen nach Hause zu bekommen. Die Lösung mit gefiltertem Wasser aus der Leitung zum selbst Einbau ist ideal. Wir haben das System nun vor einigen Tagen in Betrieb genommen. Hier nun meine ersten Erfahrungen.Positiv:- Gewohnt gute Grohe-Qualität- Komplettes Set mit allen nötigen Bestandteilen (Armatur, Filter, Filterkopf, Zubehörteile und Anleitungen)- Für den Selbsteinbau geeignet. Die Konstruktion der Armatur erleichtert den Einbau deutlich.- Anleitung relativ gut lesbar. Wenig Text, viele Bilder. Man muss sich aber jedes Bild gut ansehen. Oft kommt es auf kleine Details an.- einfache Bedienung- Spürbare Verbesserung des Geschmacks- Filterwechselanzeige- Herausziehbarer Brausekopf mit recht langem Schlauch- Grohe Support relativ zügig und per E-Mail erreichbarNegativ:- Der Grohe-Support ist nur per E-Mail zu erreichen. Antworten auf meine Fragen erfolgen zwar meist recht Zeitnah (ein bis zwei Tage Verzug), fallen aber oft knapp aus.- System zum Selbsteinbau gedacht. In der Packung sind viele Einzelteile enthalten, die erst vor Ort zusammengesetzt werden müssen.- Die Anleitung zeigt nicht für alle Teile, wo sie hingehören. Ich habe nun noch zwei Dichtungsringe übrig, deren Position mir immer noch nicht klar ist.- Eine genaue Beschreibung zum Filterkopf fehlt. Der ist ab Werk auf den Wert 2 eingestellt. Dort soll er laut Grohe auch immer bleiben. Der Filterkopf wird aber nicht von Grohe sondern von BWT hergestellt. Auf deren Homepage ist zu lesen, dass diese Einstellmöglichkeit zur Regelung der Wasserhärte dient. Eine Erklärung für diese Diskrepanz habe ich bisher nicht. Update 03.11.2020: Laut Grohe, muss stattdessen die zur Wasserhärte passende Filterkartusche verwendet werden. Ich habe mir diese Aussage mittlerweile vom Grohe-Support bestätigen lassen. Im Set enthalten ist ein Wasserfilter (40547001) aus Aktivkohle, der bis 10°Wasserhärte geeignet ist. Für alles darüber ist ein anderer Filter (40404001) zu verwenden. Die Einstellung am Filterkopf soll dabei immer unverändert bleiben. Wer dennoch dran rumschrauben möchte, findet im von mir geposteten Foto eine Tabelle. Die Erläuterung erfolgt weiter unten. Außerdem soll an dieser Stelle klar gestellt werden, die Einstellungen am Filterkopf reduzieren nicht die Wasserhärte per se. Es handelt sich hier um eine sogenannte Bypasseinstellung. Der Filterkopf lässt je nach Einstellung eine mehr oder weniger geringe Wasser ungefiltert durch. Dies ist nötig, weil ohne einen Rest Kalk im Wasser selbiges nicht mehr schmecken würde. Je härter das Wasser (mehr Kalk) desto weniger davon soll ungefiltert abgegeben werden. Wie gut Kalk aus dem Wasser gefiltert wird, hängt dann vom Filter ab.- Die Filterwechselanzeige ist nur ein Betriebsstundenzähler. Im Set ist die Filterkartusche in der Größe L enthalten. Die ist für 3000 Liter Wasser ausgelegt. Wenn ich meine 3000 Liter schon nach einem halben Jahr durch habe, passt die Wechselanzeige nicht. Bei BWT wird dieselbe Armatur unter einem anderen Namen ebenfalls verkauft. Dort gehört zum Filterwechselmonitor noch ein Durchflusssensor. Der gibt auch Alarm, wenn die 3000 Liter erreicht sind. Hier hat Grohe an sinnvollen Details gespart. Update 03.11.2020: Grohe bietet dieses Teil auch nicht zum Nachkauf. BWT hingegen schon. Dort besteht man aber darauf, dass Grohe die Kompatibilität bestätigen soll. Ich arbeite noch dran. Grohe begründet die Entscheidung gegen einen Durchflusssensor so, dass in keinem Haushalt innerhalb eines Jahres 3000 Liter Wasser getrunken werden. Daher reicht die Wechselanzeige nach Zeit. Dies trifft natürlich nur auf Haushalte mit niedriger Wasserhärte zu. Alle anderen benötigen einen anderen Filter, welcher dann auch eine geringere Haltbarkeit hat. Weitere Aussagen dazu sind mit Grohe noch Klärung.- Laut Grohe ist für Gegenden mit großer Wasserhärte, die im Set mitgelieferte Filterkartusche nicht geeignet. Leider gibt es kein alternatives Set.- Der Schwenkbereich des Wasserhahns ist sehr klein (ca. 90°), unsere alte Armatur konnte um 180° geschwenkt werden. Damit kommt man wesentlich besser im Alltag zurecht.- Das gefilterte Wasser läuft noch einige Sekunden nach Abdrehen des Hahns weiter. Das ist technisch bedingt und normal. Bei uns ließ der Wasserstrahl dann zwar gleich nach, aber tropfte noch stundenlang weiter. Das hat sich aber mittlerweile gegeben.- Sehr hoher PreisErläuterungen zur Tabelle:Bei KH steht die Karbonathärte und bei Punkt C finden Sie die Bypasseinstellung.Fazit: Die Filterwirkung ist sehr gut und erfüllt den von uns erwarteten Zweck. Es gibt aber viele verbesserungswürdige Details. Oft sind es so kleine Kleinigkeiten, dass man sich unweigerlich fragt, warum man bei Grohe für den derart hohen Preis nicht weiter gedacht hat. Meine Anfragen bei Grohe und bei BWT laufen noch. Auf eine schnelle Reaktion braucht man bei beiden nicht zu hoffen. Wer sich mit den kleinen Nachteilen der Lösung arrangieren kann, bekommt aber ein solides Produkt mit echtem Mehrwert für Gesundheit und Umwelt.

If you have a water softener the feed to the filter should be via a mains un-softened supply. Unfortunately the drink tap controls the flow of water from the tap to the filter. The filtered water then flows from the filter to the tap.Consequently whatever cold water is connected to the tap feeds the Filter. You cannot bypass this. The instructions are rubbish hence took two calls to Grohe to understand what was going on.If you have non softened water then this tap is a great solution because you wont need to run in a feed for the filter.

Love the water filter although its not as good as a Brita filter. Still see limescale/scummy layer on tea water but kettle is keeping clear so it's doing something.Bit of a faff to fit. The tails are European so you need adapters to be able to fit to UK flexi pipes. Screwfix has some for cheap.Be aware if you've got stuff under the cupboard the hose pulls out and the weight to return it gets tangled and means you have to move things around for the hose to return to it it's return position. Not ideal when you are using it.Instructions also not very clear either. Ended up watching a you tube video.Quality of tap is very good. Brass fittings for under the sink but you get what you pay for. This replaces a Franke tap - I've been through many and they end up leaking.Make sure you have a clear area under your sink. Otherwise if it's narrow and close to the waste pipes and other things like plug sockets it's a pain to fit. I had to remove most of the sink waste pipes to fit the water filter cartridge.On fitting it leaks a little bit but only for a short while and then fine.Overall happy with it but the hose feature is not worth it for me at least.

I bought mine for about £300 and would not want to pay more than this. The common price found is over £400. Caution: the top part of the description says it has a 90 degree swivel. The body of the text refers to 360 degree swivel. It is in fact a 90 degree swivel, or, more like 85 degrees. This was not enough for my installation. There is a tab that fits into an arced grove, that limits the rotation. We had to use a small hacksaw to remove about half the tab, to get about 100 degree swivel.The installation was not easy in a single-width but otherwise standard dimension cabinet. First, the flow piping to the filter is not actually long enough for the filter (and mine is the large one) to sit on the floor of the cabinet. A pedestal will be needed or, what we did rather reluctantly, was mount the bracket with a drill onto the side of the cabinet. Four inches of extra piping would have been enough. Second, there is a weight about the size of a tennis ball that retracts the extendable hose. It has to have a clear vertical run. We had to sow out the back of the cabinet and move some pipework in order for the weight to not go clunk knocking things as it passed by. For a professional plumber, it was about an hour and a half installation.Be prepared for lower water rate because of the German engineering. We have Megaflow and so good outside pressure. Yet, the German specs squeeze it down to just an average flow. This means the extendable arm does not give you a strong spray to help hose out the basin. The water coming from the filter is a very slow flow so be prepared to set your water bottle down and wait for it to fill.The timer is daft. There are only two buttons and no apparent way to set it to anything other than 90 days, and that is done by taking out and reinserting the batteries.Having said that, it is visually a striking fixture, very big and looking of quality.

The media could not be loaded.  horrible experience. I had another grohe blue model and it works fine. but the minta is really bad. the first package arrived defected, the filtered pipe is crooked and the filtered water didn't come out properly. I asked for a replacement (thankyou Amazon team for assisting with the replacement). When got the new replacement, it work sort of okay for couple of days. the filtered water came out fine but the tap would drip after turn the filtered water off. And today the filtered water tap stop working altogether, no water come out. when turn cold water on, it takes a while before the water come out.!!
