Heavy Duty Truck Systems

This text is being used by my son's Diesel Mechanic program, its a really comprehensive book on diesel. He likes it a lot and says he will keep it for future reference after the degree program is over.

I use this book at school and it has helped a lot. It has many diagrams and pictures to show you how things work and the internals. It also demonstrates on how to do certain procedures.

The book, delivered in perfect shape and the price was $100.00 less than my schools book store! I like supporting my school? but a boys got to save a buck or two somewhere. I do it by shopping Amazon.com.

I need one of the 3 books for my major that i start in the Falls semester. I am excited i get to play and enjoy this big toys.

The book has a lot of information but it is not as clear as I had hoped. The author needs to remember that most people in this field think and process information better by doing than by reading. There was a lot of unnecessary theory on electricity to read before just getting into the nuts and bolts of trouble shooting. I also felt that the end of chapter quizzes had to many trick answers or were just to hard to find in the text without a lot of unnecessary rereading. I have read many college text books over the course of 6 years and found that this was just not as to the point as it could have been. Better illustrations and easier to understand text would have made better sense in this line of study and work. Mechanics are very smart people but tend to learn differently than most people. We are puzzle builders and the best way to build a puzzle is to do it, not to read how to do it.

Bought for my sons tech college course and it was 45.00 cheaper than the colleges new book and it was the exact.book and was bran new also. Nice quality book!!

I learnt a lot from this book, but the author skim over certain important details that would be important to my practical work as a MRO Engineer. I'm still looking for that book.
