I have collected a number of books about landscaping in the South, but this is the best so far. It is clearly written with just the right amount of information; the minutia can be found elsewhere when needed. I am tasked with landscaping a new home from scratch and all the information that I need to get started is here, with lists of plants recommended for specific situations. David Marshall definitely is an expert on southern landscaping and gardens and knows how to communicate his knowledge well.

Disappointed that the pictures were in black and white. Otherwise a good garden resource. I first ordered it for my kindle then cancelled to get the actual book to read and thumb through.
