Good stuff. Just a drop lathers up nicely. Thicker than other beard washes I've used. Not the manliest of scents, but not bad either. (Very light scent after rinsing actually). Wish it conditioned and softened my beard more, but I have only been using it for five days.Have only used the two beard washes by Bluebeard's Original before; the original and the Extra Conditioning. This is better than the first. The Bluebeard's Original Extra Conditioning beard wash is maybe a little better at softening my beard and has a nicer scent, but this is much better priced. And it is "flavored" with the cantaloupe...which I don't care about one iota until I accidentally got some in my mouth. My reaction wasn't "YUMMY"!, but I didn't have to immediately have a over-reactive spit take in the shower either.Would likely buy again, even though I plan on trying others out.

I grow out my beard at Christmas for some charity events. This product keeps the beard soft and fresh. As the beard is often 8 inches long, the skin is easy to dry. I keep coming back to this over and over again.

Absolutely a great product. I had sebhorric dermatitis and I kept trying different lotions and home remedies that worked for everyone but me. Within two times of trying this, My medium length beard was soft and my skim condition cleared up almost completely. I kept debating on shaving my beard because of my skin condition but this shampoo cleared my skin and boosted my confidence. I do not use it everyday so it never completely cleared it up, however, I have a feeling if I did use it everyday it would. I just started talking biotin 5000 mcg a day and working hand in hand with this shampoo, it's completely gone. The scent of the shampoo is great, not too strong but just enough. Thank you so much and I will be ordering again in a couple of months!

This is my first review. This wash has the best lather of any beard wash I've tried and a pleasant smell. However it dried out my beard very badly. Split ends like crazy!!! Judging by the many positive reviews I'm guessing it's just due to my hair type. All I can say if you do try this and you notice your beard starts feeling dry just stop using it. Me being cheap I figured I'd just use the whole bottle before I bought a new brand. I was about 2/3 finished when I decided just to trim my beard and start over with another beard wash. The lather on this wash alone makes it worth trying but if your beard dosnt agree font be cheap like me. Just stop using it.

I've been using this stuff for years, and I love it. Leaves my beard nice and clean without any additional gunk. and if it gets in your mouth, it doesn't taste bad.As another reviewer stated, the expiration date is 01/2017. I almost knocked a star off for that, but it doesn't really matter to me... it's shampoo. I did check my old bottle that I'm finishing up, and it doesn't even have an expiration date, so I'm not sure what the deal is there. Doesn't change my opinion of the product inside.

Looking for something to stop your wife or significant other from complaining that your beard is "nappy" and hurts their face? Buy this right here. The price might turn you off but nothing tickles my fancy more than a soft beard....well my own beard that is, I don't feel others beards.....that often. You're gonna feel like Santa when you lather that bad boy up in the shower a drop the size of a nickel is more than enough for a full beard. This product has lasted me almost two months with daily use. Just thought I'd write an honest review while I'm re ordering it.

It's okay. I've used Bluebeard extra conditioning shampoo which seemed to work better for me. I do have dry skin occasionally and my beard is very thick and curly. The Bluebeard tended to help moisturize and soften while cleaning the excess oil, but this shampoo doesn't seem to help with the softness of my hairs.Additionally, I didn't realize how much I hated the smell of cantaloupe. Some people may like it, but I honestly can't stand the smell even after several weeks of use. I was excited to try this product but ultimately was disappointed and wished I could have tried another one of their products.

This stuff is great. I love the cantaloupe smell and if some of it gets in my mouth (like it inevitably does) it doesn't make me choke. I started using this product about four months ago, and I wish I'd found it years ago. It lathers very nicely and it leaves my beard very soft. In the past I used other products that appear to be more popular, but this is the best beard shampoo I've found thus far. I've worn a beard on and off for about ten years, so I've got some experience.

Will this bottle ever end?! I use it about 4 times a week and I'm pretty sure I'm still going to be using the same bottle 6 months after buying it! Smells lovely, cleans my beard and leaves it nice and shiny. You only need the tiniest amount, so as far as I'm concerned the value for money couldn't be any higher.When I started growing a beard I scoured the internet and books for advice and found a huge amount of contradictions, so here's the route I took. It's helped some other people out when I've put it in other "beard stuff" reviews, so it might be useful to someone reading this:1) Shave your face and wash REALLY well before and afterwards. This takes off all of the dead skin and allows the beard to start from a fresh.2) Keep shaving your face for a week or two. Wait until your skin is perfect before putting the razor down for the last time.3) Moisturise those cheeks!4) Good hair needs good hair food, so make sure that you're getting all of the vitamins that you need. I started by supplementing my diet with Centrum Men and then later added some special "Beard Growth" ones in.5) Begin growing! Put the razor down and don't cut a single hair on your face for at least 4 weeks. You're going to look scruffy, so it might be an idea to time your growth spurt with a holiday or other time where you don't have to look smart for a couple of weeks. Once these 4 weeks are up and you have a fairly decent growth, you can trim to whichever style you're after.6) Wash regularly, but don't overdo it. I use a beard shampoo about 3 times a week. Beard shampoos are kinder to your face skin, which is very different to your scalp. Washing with soap too much will cause your skin to produce the wrong amount of oil (I can't remember if it's too much or too little). Not good.7) Get yourself a good quality beard oil. This will keep your hair and skin at just the right level of moist. Don't overdo it, use just enough to coat every hair. As your beard grows, you can get yourself a beard balm which will do the same thing as the oil except keep everything looking a bit neater.8) Brush/comb regularly but again, not too much. A couple of times a day is enough - too little and you'll have a tangled mess, too much and you'll damage your hair and remove those all so important face oils. Make sure that you're using a HAND-CUT comb or badger hair brush. Cheap/machine made combs have microscopic imperfections that will tear your hair.9) Bask in the glory of the manliest mane anyone has ever seen.10) Change your name to "The Beard".

Great size for the price, shampoo lathers up nicely and you only have to use a small but I feel it dries out my beard and it becomes tangled.

Main thing is that it works and have reduced skin irritation where my beard is. Maybe this not possible to change, but the smell from this shampoo is slightly off putting when I am using it, hence the reason for 4 stars rather than 5

Importantly, this shampoo tastes pretty good, smells great and gently cleans.This is my second bottle and it lasts a long time, even with regular beard washing. It certainly helps with skin irritation and dryness and "beardruff" as well as keeping the bear itself clean and fresh.

I love this beard shampoo. It works well and smells lovely. Sadly my beard is long gone but I hang onto all my beard products in the hope that one day I'll grow it back. Definitely worth buying although I must admit it is a bit pricey. Nevertheless you don't need to use a lot of the product so the bottle will last for quite some time.
