20,000 Secrets of Tea: The Most Effective Ways to Benefit from Nature's Healing Herbs [Zak, Victoria] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. 20,000 Secrets of Tea: The Most Effective Ways to Benefit from Nature's Healing Herbs Review: My All-Time Favorite Book on Teas! - This little book is a wonderful way to learn about and use teas to improve your health and to give your taste buds a real treat when ever you try something new. The book is well organized and easy to use. After an interesting introduction to the benefits of teas, it has an excellent section that alphabetically lists common health problems/issues. Under each, there is a list of the herbs that may be beneficial in resolving the health concern. One can then flip to the section providing information about individual herbs, how to use them, precautions, history of the herb, and nutrients one gets from the herb. This section lists over 100 different herbs also in alphabetical order. I often give this book as a gift and have both the paperback and Kindle versions. Teas are a very gentle way to improve one’s health and quality of life. I recommend the paperback version as it is easier to flip back and forth to check out the information on different herbs recommended for specific things. As with everything else, please consult your doctor to make sure that the herb you want to try is safe for you. Review: Excellent pocket book! - This book is small, but packed with information!! Always recommend this for the Tea Drinker and Homeopathy! Has a quick reference section and detailed section! Fast shipping and delivery!

Fantastic Herbal Tea Book!!!
I can’t even express how much I love this book. It looks small and simple from the outside, but inside is packed with information on a huge variety of teas. The writer covers everything from great bits of history and folklore of each herb, to its uses, warnings, consumption guide and even great combinations, all written in a simple to learn manner. Weather you are new to the tea world or a veteran, or weather you are looking to learn for routine consumption or a guide for as needed use, this book is perfect for you. The only thing this book does not have is pictures, so you’re looking for a guide for identifying herbs, this is not for you. Although they include great written descriptions of each herb I don’t believe it would really be enough to confidently identify a species. Other than that this book is perfect and I highly recommend it to everyone.

This came highly recommended... DEFINITELY!
Herbalism 101 & 201 in the palm of your hand. I've completed studies in herbalism to better understand the medicinal benefits of plants and focus on more on natural remedies. All that we need comes from our great Mother Earth... this reference guide is an EXCELLENT resource for information about not only the nature, history, and benefit of each plant but also identifies which plants may best serve a particular ailment or condition.

Good but not always consistent in the info given
This book is good to have. I appreciate that the herbs are listed alphabetically by their common names rather than their scientific names as I've seen elsewhere. I'm giving it 4 stars because there is an overall inconsistency in the completeness of the herb profiles. Some are packed with doses, what to mix with, and how often they can be taken, while others are scant in their information. I found this annoying and had to search other sources to complete the profiles. But overall, it's a good addition to my library.

Good information!
I really like this book it has a lot of good information about herbs and the benefits they provide. I bought this book to learn more about making teas that would provide healthy benefits for myself. I have make a few teas from this book and I love the benefits they provide me, some have given me energy and others have helped me recover from flu symptoms. Great book overall with a lot of health benefits to include energizing brews.

Support for a Lifetime
This is the one book I carried with me in the years I moved from place to place frequently. I simply couldn’t do without it as a reference for staying in balance mentally, physically, and emotionally. It was my first and best primer on herbal medicine, introducing each herb thoroughly and instructing me on proper usage. Teas are a gentle but powerful way to get acquainted with each herb, and I appreciated the author’s advice to get to know each one separately before beginning to create combinations. I’m heading into cronedom now and feel empowered, energized, steady, and strong, thanks to this book and the supportive herbs it introduced me to.

I researched Tea books prior to buying this one as a gift.....which I ended up keeping and now have another re-ordered. I had not expected it to have the health benefits of the herbs so well referenced. I was looking for a book to enable me to blend tea from a health perspective and this book is certainly a great guide with no herbalist knowledge. The down side. As of my last review the quality of the paperbacks from self publish is poor. Since this is nothing to do with the author I cannot deduct a star. Again I love the size of it but feel that maybe Amazon could do more to support self published authors with higher quality product.

I am SOOOO HAPPY I bought this book! I use it every day! It’s become my tea bible and I refer to it on a daily basis (I drink a lot of tea) I’m trying to build a collection of tea for all that ails me, and this book has been vital for this experience. It’s really cool because it talks about the origins of each tea, what it’s benefits are (including vitamins and minerals that it contains), warnings for some teas (some teas shouldn’t be mixed with certain medications/conditions), and general taste of the tea (earthy, pungent, subtle..etc) But.....it also has a “quick reference” section in the middle that alphabetically lists any health conditions/ailments and which teas to use for them. Anything from sleep problems, hangovers, hair loss, arthritis, bladder problems, fatigue, heart problems, gum health, thyroid health, stress, pms, nicotine withdrawal and soooo much more! Don’t be fooled by the size of this book, it’s loaded with information. Again, I can’t boost up this book enough. If you love tea, know someone who does and/or love healing with natural ingredients, this book is a must have! Small enough to bring on trips too, but a bombshell of info! One hundred stars!

Voor zo'n klein boekje, zit er veel informatie in. Zwart wit zonder foto's of plaatjes. Maar handig om in je tas te stoppen om onderweg te lezen.
