Very useful
As I learn to become a certified yoga instructor, these cards helped me design my first lesson plans- the most important parts like how each pose impacts the body and the mind. Also great for practicing sanscrit

A fantastic reference source for anyone who is interested in Yoga.
Many years ago I studied Yoga and I decided to again start doing some of the Yoga poses and ordered this fantastic (The Yoga Deck: 50 Poses & meditations for body, mind and spirit) deck of instructions. There are many reasons why I really love this Yoga Deck. It has information both beginners and experts can immediately refer to in this large card deck. Some of the other material I read on Yoga recently was aimed at experienced and advanced yoga students.I found the cards easy to follow and they contain an enormous about of practical advice on various aspects of Yoga such as how to meditate, several different breathing exercises and of course how to do the many postures of Yoga. I was surprised that even at my advanced age with several medical issues, including arthritis; I was able to do many of the Yoga postures from viewing the cards and reading the clear and concise directions as to how to do them.I am happy I have this deck of Yoga to follow and use in my own exercise routine. If you are into yoga or desire to learn the different aspects of this form of exercise and meditation, you should check out this product. I personally am glad I ordered this Yoga Deck.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: The Samurai Soul: An old warrior's poetic tribute).

Great tool
Nice deck with plenty of information to practice. I kind of wanted a deck to just pull from to maybe try or gain more insight without looking at pictures but this deck has words on one side and pictures on the other. It is still definitely useful but I do have to split the deck bc of the sections. For example there are cards just for meditation yoga poses, breathing exercises. So you can just randomly pick one from each section to add to your practice or learn. Either way the cards are printed on nice smooth cardstock. They feel good handling. A supplemental guide provides ideas for sequencing and chants. I was lucky to find when I did got a great deal for the price and info contained.

Great for use with Middle School students
I ordered these to use with my 8th grade students during an Advisory period, along with a "Managing Stress and Anxiety" workbook. I use them on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a different student each time draws a card and then teaches the rest of the group the pose/meditation/stretch. They were very resistant at first, and occasionally try to play like they are "too cool" for yoga. However, I hear them in the hall saying things to one another like: "Hurry, it's Monday/Wednesday, it's Yoga day!" and "Who gets to teach the yoga card today?" and everyone always participates (I tell them if their pregnant teacher is willing to do these moves, their young bodies can too.) That being said, I did go through the deck and remove a handful of cards that I just didn't see working well for the environment. There were a few that just required a little too much ground work or space I didn't have in a confined classroom full of desks and chairs, and there were a few that, sadly, the students just aren't mature enough for (for example, the boys often snigger and make comments about hoping they get the downward-dog card - which I had pulled from the deck, but didn't tell them yet.) I am still left with at least 40+ cards that we can use. We discuss when each would be appropriate to use in life (ie: the neck rolling card would be great during a test, the cobra card would not- but might be excellent at home after a long stressful day.) Overall the deck is simple to understand with great directions AND an explanation of what the pose, meditation or stretch is good for, and the cards are very classy looking, in my opinion.

Much Needed
This product is definitely useful if you sit around a lot. The yoga cards are nice and sturdy plus you can choose multiple different ones if you wanted to do a whole yoga routine. They have cards for posture, breathing and different kinds of meditation! I take at least 10 mins a day and pick random cards that have easy to follow directions and can I just say the drawings on the cards are so cute! If you are looking for something to add to your routine and help you get to a healthier lifestyle I highly recommend this product!

Pretty basic
These are pretty generic/basic poses. I guess I was looking for something more advanced. I bought this and it will probably just sit and gather dust.

Straight forward for beginners
I'm only 6 months into yoga and found this deck to be so helpful to use at home. I am reordering it for 2 other peopleThe more negative reviews said there were 2 poses to a card. It shows the actual pose on one side and then shows you positioning into each pose as to your comfort level on the other side.If you are into meditation before the poses, there are a few cards for that, you can use them or not. There are recommended pose sequences that will "focus on specific benefits": stretch, energy, strength, stress relief and back pain relief.I would probably not recommend this to more advanced students or teachers as it is so straightforward with easy poses and directions. This is a simple helpful additional tool to use at home.
