The most uncomfortable pair of boots I've ever worn - good news at end of review, read on!
I love Ariat products. All my equine footwear is Ariat and most of my riding clothing is, too. I wanted a winter pair of paddock boots to ride and run around the barn in as tall boots tend to not fit me well for winter riding. Wore these for the first time a few days ago and could barely stand the walk to the paddock to catch a horse and bring him in for the farrier. My feet were instantly cramped and cold. Super-stiff boots. Brought the first horse in and immediately took them off, put on my Ariat Heriage IV paddock boots I ride in the rest of the year and was much happier. Needless to say the Exteme Lace H20's went right back. The story ends well, though! I still really wanted a pair of winter riding boots and lucked out with Ariat's Pro GTX tall boot. Yes, they are a tall boot and I had my reservations about these, too. I was thrilled with how comfy and warm these boots were from the off:https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C3AL67U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1For summer I can't say enough good things about the Ariat Heritage IV paddock boot. I'm on my third pair in five years and I ride six days a week.https://smile.amazon.com/Ariat-Womens-Heritage-IV-Paddock/dp/B01L91PRO2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1544047775&sr=8-3&keywords=ariat+paddock+boots+womens

Very comfy and warm, but don’t fit with my half chaps
The fit was very good and I’m sure would be warm, plus the footbed was very supportive. I wanted so badly to keep them, but I couldn’t find a pair of half chaps to fit over them. The ankle is thick and high, and too wide to wear with my half chaps. Since this is what I needed them for, I had to return them. I did d purchase another pair of Ariot and I’m waiting for them now. They’re not lined like these and not the extreme line, but I’ll see what they feel like. They were more expensive than these and I like the look of them more as well.

These fit great (I went up a half size) and my feet ...
I moved from Florida to the Midwest and continued to use my regular Ariat paddock boots during winter. This was a mistake. After one particularly cold day, causing me to have to sit with my feet under the warm air for my entire drive home and arriving home with still-numb toes anyway, I knew I needed something warmer. These fit great (I went up a half size) and my feet have yet to be cold this winter! I would definitely recommend these. The only downfall is that they are thicker at the top because of the insulation, making it harder to fully zip my half chaps (but not impossible). I just hope they don't stretch out the bottom of my chaps. I think it is to be expected though, that an insulated boot will be thicker than a non-insulated boot, and I'm ok with that.

expensive but does the job!
Fit right out of the box! I do not ride horses so I cant comment on how well it works for riding . I wanted a black waterproof insulated boot. I tried SIX other brands. All too big or too small, or to "clunky" or not enough support , or just generally uncomfortable. To be honest I didn't want to spend this much. But as a last resort I ordered these, and I am very happy with them. The one piece that could be designed better is the way that the flap under the laces is designed. it is too thick when the boot is totally laced up and rubs the inside of my ankles. But I am happy to not lace the top two " brackets" and all is well and no rubbing.

Overall Great Boots
The boots are quite warm and comfortable, pretty good quality though not as nice as my old Ariats. I was told they started outsourcing to China and the quality went down. That being said this is a great price for some awesome boots. Very waterproof, would be great for riding and have a nice heel. Took awhile to break in but well worth it.Leather is a little squeaky but I suspect that will wear off with time. Leather does not scuff easily and the sole is of good quality.

Not snow-proof
keeps my feet warm and is a great boot. I would have given it five stars, but somehow my feet still end up wet if I go through snow... as in my socks are soaked. So they are warm, but not really snow-proof. Its a little disappointing. They were pretty stiff at first so took some breaking in, hard to put my heels down when riding, however this got better after about a week of wear.

Runs small.
Definitely want to order a half size up as they fit small. When I ordered a half size larger it still seemed difficult to put them on at first but as I continued to wear them they started to flex and mold to my feet better and they are super comfortable now and easier to get on. They have a definite breaking in period, but work very well on snow and ice, are plenty warm and are great for riding too once they are broken in!

showed up broken
The Box itself should have been a red flag, the box itself was beat up. When I finally opened it up the boot had a broken lace and on closer look one of the holes for the laces was ripped. Had high hope for these boots but was let down very quick.

Ariat quality disappointing
I waited weeks for these boots to arrive. They looked great but were a little tight and I could only wear them with thin socks. I am the smallest adult size, so I was surprised as most of their boots are on the roomy side for me.The boots are warm to wear, the insulation works well. The design is good, they are a tidy professional looking boot that look neat. The waterproof quality is not good. The first few times I wore them they were ok, but as time went on I noticed dark spots on my socks. As the weather got wetter, so did my socks and then my feet started to get wet. The leather has split and the waterproof membrane has failed.I am a professional equine trainer and at £160 I was expecting a good quality boot that did what it’s name says. H2O.I have contacted Ariat direct as my first concern was within a year of purchase.

Suitable for orthotics
Great boots, warm feet. Use Ariat as I have large prescription orthotics and the removable insole and rigid heel cup are necessary for them to fit and work well.
