What I needed!
This switch saved a $180 floor lamp from being discarded because of a broken switch, and I couldn't find the switch locally anywhere. The switch arrived in good condition and was easy to connect to the lamp wires but the switch knob was difficult to pull through the hole on the metal tube of the floor lamp. I was afraid I would break the switch by pulling the switch knob with a needle nose plier but I was able to do it safely after fiddling with for an hour. If I were do it again (I hope not) or to design the switch for easy installation, I would tie a string to the switch and pull the string through the switch hole on the metal tube of the lamp instead of spending an hour to pull the switch through the hole using a needle nose plier and then cut the string. Hence, the 4-stars on the installation instead of 5-stars. Overall, the switch works perfectly and it was what I needed to save the lamp and continue to use it. I would highly recommend this product.

CHEESY JUNK AND IT'S NOT A DIMMER
This is a switch with two settings: Bright and not so bright. The not so bright setting is already worn out after only a few months. So, it's only an on/off switch now. A real pain in the butt to install it. Annoying.
