wonderfully evocative of the man
This is some of the most worthwhile money I have ever spent on a book. It was so wonderfully evocative of the man, who is one of my very favorite authors. I found this anthology to be excellently curated, and the piece at the end written by Mr. Zelazny's daughter is beautiful and touching. In all, it was almost like having him back for a little while, and many thanks for that.

Tribute Stories in Zelasny's Universe
Excellent stories set as additional stories using Zelazny's backgrounds, plus one, "There Shall Be No Moon!" by Zelazny himself, which I had not seen in anything else. The foreword by George R.R. Martin and the afterword by Shannon Zelazny are worth obtaining the book, as it gives insight into Zelazny's way of thinking. The stories are: Playin God-Steven Brust-(Isle of the Dead); Keeper of the Keys -Kelly McCullough- (Madwand); And the Fountains Flow -Mark Rich- (Graveyard Heart); The Headless Flute Player -Jane Lindskold-(Lord Demon); Creatures of Foam and Mist -Gio Clairval- (Creatures of light & Darkness); Doorways In Time -Edward J. McFadden III- (Doorways in the Sand); Coda -Steve Perry- (Lord of light); Night in the Gardens of Blue Harbor -Gerald Hausman (original story outlined by RZ); The Night Heirs -Warren Lapine- (Night Kings); Halflife -Theodore Krulik- (Halfjack); The Lady of Shadowguard -Lawrence Watt-Evans- (jack of Shadows); Rock and Road -Michael H. Hanson- (Roadmarks); The Aspect of Dawn -Shriann Lewitt- (Lord of Light).

Excellent tribute. Makes me miss Roger Zelazny even more.
For me, this was a bit like going home after so many decades. There is little doubt as you move from story to story that each author had tremendous love and respect for Roger Zelazny. So many of my favorites get an extension in this book (Jack of Shadows, Lord of Light, Roadmarks, and Madwand to name a few) and not one a disappointment. Mr. Zelazny had given me the most imaginative books I have ever read, so I'd like to warmly thank each of the authors who contributed, and everyone else who had a hand in the making of this book.Think I'll start reading it again now ;-)

Definitely worth a read!
Uneven stories, but some were spectacular, totally evocative of Zelazny. Major Kudos to Brust and Watt-Evans!

A shadow of Zelazny.
It was interesting and a bit sad to hear new tales from those characters that I never even had a hope of hearing from again. It is not Zelazny, but it is clearly those that loved him, as do I. Dearly he is missed. Keep writing and we shall keep reading.
