They hold!
I've got a sun shade on a cedar structure on my patio. It came with hold down loops. Perfect! The stakes worked perfectly.

Strong Hold Down
There a little pricey for plastic hold downs but I got one anchor to hold my Fish stringer to hold in the sand and it held so good I decided to get four more to hold down my 10 x10 canopy, even in heavy winds the canopy holds in the sand. Great product and I recommend them to all my friends.

Anchors twist into ground easy but don't provide a lot of resistance when pulled on.
I like the size as they don't take much room in my boat but believe it would be better if the screw size were bigger to provide better holding power.

Don’t use for water anchoring
I purchased for anchoring my jet ski in the water, since it claims can be used for small boats. The first time using it, I fully screwed it into the sandy bottom underwater and tied off my jet ski. The water was a little wavy, but within minutes it came loose and my new jet ski drifted off!After chasing down my jet ski, I wasn’t able to find my new bright orange anchor. To be fair I can’t confirm whether it snapped, mfg defect or pulled out of sand, but confirmed my mooring line was intact.If product isn’t meant for underwater securing, this should be clear to avoid confusing boat usage. I would consider follow up & re-reviewing product if I receive a replacement from manufacturer.

Good if used intelligently.
Bearing in mind the size etc anybody who thinks that this will work as a beach anchor for a boat really shouldn’t be allowed on the water. It’s a small plastic screw. I got them so I could tether my small dog when camping. As long as the ground isn’t too rocky they should work. Ramming them into dry clay and it’ll possibly break. Expecting them to halt the attack of a German Shepherd?probably not. Hoping that your boat will still be there when you come back from the pub? mmm no. Tethering a small dog on a campsite because they have to be on a lead? Quite probably.
