Hello,the windows are plastic also can use them. This alarm is installed by double-sided adhesive tape.So,if the double-sided adhesive tape can be pasted tightly,  such as plastic, metal, wood, etc, it can be installed and used.

Yes, it can be  used on sliding doors. But you may need to adjust the sensitivity lower to avoid false alarms.

Would these be a good idea to place on a patio furniture as an anti theft device?

Interesting!  That might work.  These alarms are designed to go off when there is significant vibration or movement (like when some strikes a window or glass door - or actually breaks the window or door).  Thus, if the alarm is armed and installed on patio furniture, any significant motion of that furniture MIGHT set-off the alarm.  When you want to use the furniture, turn the alarm off first.  Of course, if the furniture (like a chair that is light enough to lift) was lifted up and carried away without being jostled, the alarm might not be set off.  But I doubt anyone grabbing and running with patio furniture would be that careful.  Most likely they would handle the furniture rough enough to set off the alarm.  Just place the alarm somewhere on the furniture where it is NOT obvious to the thief so they don't turn it off.  These are cheap enough that it's worth a try. Three devices for under $25 bucks.  If they don't work, put the alarms on some windows you want to secure.  Good Luck.
