Flashlights High Lumens
The media could not be loaded. As soon as I switched it on for the first time, I was honestly astonished by how far it could reach and how brilliant it came out to be. It is indeed one of the brightest flashlights I have ever had, despite the fact that the claim of 990,000 lumens may be a little bit of an exaggeration. I used it on a camping trip that I took not too long ago, and it was able to conveniently light the whole campground. Not only is it bright, but the beam also goes quite a distance, which was really helpful while I was out on night walks and needed to keep an eye on the area behind me. Another aspect that I found to be really helpful was the combination of five distinct settings. It is my opinion that the flashlight's versatility in a variety of settings is enhanced by the presence of settings for high, medium, low, strobe, and SOS flashing modes. While I needed to explore the jungle at night, I switched to the high mode, but while I was reading inside the tent, I often preferred to utilize the low setting. In the event that you find yourself in a precarious circumstance, having the strobe and SOS modes at your disposal is really beneficial. For those who spend a lot of time outside, I believe that this is an excellent tool to have around.

Great but power button may act up
This is a very balanced flashlight that can be used to defend yourself, and it also insanely bright. My one issue is that after a couple months of ownership, the power button isn't responding. I don't know if it's the actual switch on the board, or a bad solder point. I can't find a way to contact the seller on Amazon either.

Incredibly Bright
I purchased this light just under a year ago, charged it, never used it, and actually forgot I had it until last night. I walk my 65 LB dog (aggressive Pit/Shepherd genes but pussy demeanor) late every night in a very poorly lit residential area that is integrated into a large preserve. The bobcats, coyotes, and alligators are always a background concern because they are regularly observed and I am skeptical about how effective pepper spray would be if we encounter a problem. Last night I noticed this flashlight on a shelf and realized its size and mass could prove useful if we encounter an aggressive animal. So, after 11 months since its last charging, it worked fine for the entire15 minute or so walk. There are three brightness levels but even the dimmest of the three provided a ton of light and was still a lot brighter than I expected. It is actually too big to conveniently carry and much brighter than desired or needed even on the dimmest of the three settings. I noticed the head got warm but not unreasonably hot. Also, I did not notice any dimming during the 15 minute or so walk (LEDs typically are designed to intentionally dim to limit temperature rise). My only real concern is how reliable this light will be over the long or even near term because it is so incredibly bright. It is so high performance I question its reliability although I do not know that will be a problem. A minor nit for me is the control button. It does not remember the last brightness setting and it is always necessary to cycle through all six settings to turn it on then eventually off. The five star rating I gave it assumes it will have a reasonable life span although I question if that's possible.

Massively Exaggerated Lumen Claim!
Police officers, security guards, and anyone looking at these flashlights for home security, listen up: I purchased this flashlight, another Chinese flashlight with a large lumen claim, and tested them side-by0-side with a Streamlight Polytac and Anker flashlight both using rechargeable 18650 cells cells, and also with two gun-mounted Streamlights using CR123A disposable cells. All these generic Chinese flashlights mislead and lie about their lumen claims. I found that this flashlight was no brighter than any of the other flashlights I compared it to. The only thing I can say it did well was flood. The beam was very wide, and that could be useful if you really wanted to cover a large area. But as far as having a very bright spotlight, this flashlight was an epic fail. One other thing to mention: The only way to get something like a spotlight beam with these flashlights is to zoom using the push-pull feature of the headlamp. When you do focus it for maximum brightness, your spotlight becomes a gride with several panels-- not a round spotlight beam. You should know that this flashlight using a rather odd battery which is two 26560 batteries wrapped together and running in series, so a replacement will be nearly impossible to find. You'd have to make one yourself.I really wish these companies would be honest about what they are selling. This was a real disappointment.

great for in the house. batteries last long.
it's not the brightest light, but I use it for my in-the-house light, and love it. plus, its double-size battery lasts a long time between recharges.
