We needed help keeping our puppies in the yard since we have absent minded teens. Installed two on our gate along with a self latching lock and we have peace of mind knowing that our puppies are not running out the gate.

The gate closer worked great on by chain link fence gate. It is very well made and only took a short time to install. It is nice that it works in two directions.

Worked fine for a while, but now started to not self close gate,have to help close the 4foot by 3 foot gate.

I bought these closers with the hope that they would not close the gate as quickly as the other style closers I had. Those were the stainless strap style that really did the job for years but really made the gate snap back and our concerns were about the little ones getting hurt.These were purchased in July of 2023 and by October they had both failed.(springs broke) I tried contacting the sellers customer service on the website but that apparently has been terminated as I just tried again today and no luck. We have a pool and have a local code requirement for self closing gates and latches and can’t seem to find a satisfactory and dependable way to accomplish this. We have 2 32 inch chain link type gates that open in both directions and I will be putting the old springs back on until I find a solution.

I live in an area where town deer are common and almost domesticated. When I left the gate open to the back yard to move the water sprinkler out front, a deer just walked in through the open gate with me no more than 30 feet away! I installed this closer and it returns the gate to a neutral position. It offers minimum resistance, but the deer are seeking an open portal. This closer denies them entrance.

bought this as I needed a self closing hinge. Didn't fit correctly with the fence I have.
